Quick intro of myself.
Im 43 and been Vegan 3/4 years and live in Australia.
Liking the forum, its nice to read posts from like minded people.
I am an Ocean Ski Paddler and I compete a fair bit in marathon events. I used to lift weights many years ago, but gave it away. Im now getting back into the weight training now after a long lay off.
I just purchased a Power Rack, barbell and a load of heavy gear. Going on the 5x5 program in an attempt to get some good solid core strength for my Kayaking. Im pretty old school, not too big on all these new fandangle exercises. Like standing on a swiss ball whilst doing curls and the like..
Really getting tired of ignorant meat eaters telling me I will have eat meat if I going to improve my Kayak speed and endurance. It 's really driving me nuts
I have to start mixing with like minded people to keep me sane
Any success stories of the 5x5 program would be appreciated.
