Hello to all and happy New Year. I've been a lacto ovo vegetarian for about 5 years; I was in awesome shape for about 3 years, completing a triathlon, 2 marathons and too many half marathons, trail runs and 10 milers to list. While I can do without meat, and fish and poultry...I love sweets and carbohydrate sources like dairy, and potatoes...oh my goodness I love mac and cheese and potato salad. Oh yeah and never met any variety of bread that I didn't like. Well anyway I am a 49 and 3/4s old male, currently on the Daniel Fast (veggies, fruit and water only); I would love training tips, vegan recipes and information about events in the DMV (DC, Virginia, Maryland) area. I would love to here from folks my age or near my age who are vegan, training, and working. My work schedule is ridiculous, but I don't believe in excuses.

So greetings to all, I hope we become friends in 2015 :D
