Hello from Chicago!

#1 Postby RawRunnerBethany » Sun Oct 01, 2006 7:26 pm

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself to all of you wonderful vegan fitness enthusiasts here on this forum!

Name: Bethany
Age: 24
Location: Chicago, but looking to move to CA or the Pacific NW. :D
Diet: Simple raw vegan and feeling fabulous! I first went veg in 2001.
Training: I enjoy marathon training, yoga, and (since returning from health and fitness week with Dr. Doug Graham!) strength training and a bit of cycling. I'm working on losing my excess body fat and building strength and all-around fitness.
Things I enjoy, other than training: Books, movies, acting silly, sleeping.
Favorite foods: in season fruits, mainly. Depending on the season, my favs are grapes, nectarines, dates, minneolas, tomatoes, figs...

Anything else you want to know about me? Please ask! I look forward to getting to know you all on the forum!

-Bethany

Hey, thanks for the warm welcomes!

No, actually, I did not see Margi there (she attended the first week, and I attended the second week). I'm sure she had as great a time as I did though! I can't recommend it enough. One week after coming back, I set a new PR - took 12 minutes off my 10-mile time! And that's only the tip of the iceberg...
