I always work, so the answer is yes. I work non-stop for years, but I enjoy what I'm doing...yeah, I'd come out and work with a Vega guy who is the rep for the area to help him out, etc. and I'd set up some talks. I set up talks everywhere I go. I'll be speaking at Northeastern University today for example.

So yeah, I'll make it happen, I just don't know when.

I'll be in touch and we'll go climbing and all that fun stuff! I've only been back once since I lived there nearly 10 years ago!

Same with Phoenix, AZ. I think I've been there once since I lived there 8 years ago!

Keep up the training, the fun and all that and we'll have a good time catching up. Just do something! (John Foster voice).

crystal, what is your current body weight? I've always been impressed by your strength for a person your size. :)

It's between 132 - 134 pounds, fluctuates and all that. You are too kind, too :D

4 Nov 2008 - Tuesday

Bench: 10 x bar, 12 x 75 lbs, 10 x 95 lbs, 5 x 105 lbs, 2 x 110 lbs, 1 x 115 lbs, 1 x 120 lbs, f x 125 lbs

CGBP: 10 x 75 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 6 x 95 lbs

Chins: 4 x palms facing in, 4 x palms in, 2 x palms in plus 2 forced

*stretching

Man, the bench just felt on today! I haven't hit 120 pounds since last February :D - felt I could have nailed that 125, too, but it wasn't meant to be. Great day!

5 Nov 2008 - Wed
Cardio session on an eliptical machine, 600 calories was the goal. Took 47 minutes to reach it. Good times. :D

Was just as well, couldn't go climbing today, weather has been this all day and yesterday:

6 Nov 2008 - Thur

Shoulder Press: 10 x bar, 10 x 55 lbs, 8 x 65 lbs, 5 x 70 lbs, 5 x 70 lbs

Lats: 10 x 90 lbs, 10 x 110 lbs, 8 x 130 lbs

T-machine Rows: 10 x 25 lbs, 10 x 30 lbs, 10 x 35 lbs

Back Hypers: 10 x 25 lbs, 10 x 25 lbs, 10 x 35 lbs

DB Shrugs: 15 x 35s, 15 x 35s, 20 x 30s

Was a "m'eh" session today, but they always are when I can't deadlift (stupid hands). Also had to rush a bit to get to a class I did not want to go to, so motivation in general was low, but not bad.

yeah the winter is coming early this year. Last week there rain, storms, and 2 inches of snow everywhere, and now it's all disappeared, today it was warmer than in the middle of summer, everybody was on terraces in t-shirts... I guess it,s normal now, soon it's gonna rain frogs and things like that.

Yay! Today was actually a brief rest in the bad weather (supposed to rain/snow again tomorrow), so I went climbing at what is locally known as "Red Rock" (not the Red Rocks near Vegas). Warmed up cleaning a 5.7, then led a really odd and ugly 5.9 that I struggled a ton with. The bolts were a bit too spaced out and poorly placed so I brought some cams with me and actually placed a few. I think this whole trad climbing thing might work out afterall :)

After that, cleaned a 5.10a that I cheated on a bit to do (shh, don't tell!). Warmed down on a nice 5.8 that I led. That's when it just started getting too cold as the sun was getting lower in the sky so called it a day. I hope there are more opportunities to climb this season, but I bet there won't be many before the snow pack builds up.

10 November 2008 - Monday
Workout with Philliped

Squats: 10 Fronties x 95 lbs, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 95 lbs, 6 Fronties x 95 lbs - no squat rack so that definitely plays a part in todays squatting :)

SLDL: 10 x bar, 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 115 lbs

Death Lunges for Max Distance with Phil: 30-ish paces, lost count!

Leg Extension: 10 x 50 lbs, 10 x 60 lbs, 10 x 60 lbs - one leg at a time

One-Leg Standing Calf: ~3 x 10 x 20 lbs

Awesome workout today with Phil, lifting is always so much more fun and motivational with a partner, especially a cool vegan one.

Of course, I had to get some pictures. Sorry to Phil for putting up with my nerosis :D

Afterwards, we hit up the Vertical Diner (all vegan) and I ate until I almost puked, then got some dessert to go ;) . (P.S. Phil, I'm still unable to move from all the food and its been like 5 hours!).

The food is shaped like a smiley:

Thanks guys, it was awesome. Can't wait 'til our next workout - ya know, if you (any of you) find yourself in the area, you are more than welcome to join us :D

11 Nov 2008

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 12 x 85 lbs, 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 95 lbs - whoa, almost called it a day here, but went on to do:

CGBP: 3 x 10 x 75 lbs - now arms were totally jelly, but continued:

Chins: 4 x palms facing in, 3 x same

Plank: 2 minute

*stretching

Killer day today, wanted to get a bit of volume in on bench after last week's max out. Stretching was really funny because me legs are sore from yesterday (darn lunges and SLDL's!!!) and my arms were gone, so it was hard to hold any stretch! Now I'm happily eating a big burrito back in my office :D

This cardio bunny hit up the eliptical machines again today. I need to change things up, its just way too easy to do the same thing every week. My goal of 600 calories burned was reached in 46 minutes, 6 seconds, faster than last week :) .

13 Nov 2008 - Thurs

DB Shoulder Press: 10 x 20s, 10 x 25s, 8 x 30s, 6 x 30s, 6 x 30s

Lats: 10 x 110 lbs, 8 x 130 lbs, 8 x 140 lbs

Leg Raises: 3 x 10

*stretching

Cut the workout a little short today. I've been a bit RA-achy all over today and I was hoping the gym would help, but the presses just made it worse so I called it a day, I know better than pushing thru this sort of pain! Had a nice long but mild stretching session afterwards.
