Long time no see Lobster and Mary. Glad to see you both still hard a work. You are both very inspirational to me and even though I haven't checked in here to VB forums in a while (partially due to the trauma of losing 2 of our dogs) you guys still continue to inspire me. I always ask myself during my workouts "what would lobster and marystella do?" Thanks guys for continuing to be my motivators.

And MaryStella and Lobster-I wish I was as tall as either of you! I am 135 lbs. and only 5'4''. Oh well..... I wish I could stop obsessing with numbers.

Been super depressed about my workouts/body image the last couple of days. Bleh, hope I get over it soon.

04/16/2011:

7 mile run - 1:09:03
I felt great during the run, not sure why my time was so slow.

04/17/2011:

Rest day.

04/18/2011:

Didn't have time for a proper warm up.

Squats:
1x10x45
1x5x75
1x5x85
1x3x105
1x5x115
1x5x125
1x6x145
2x10x125
1x10x115
2x10x95

Front Squats:
1x8x45
2x8x55

Farmer Walks:
2 sets with 50 lb db's

That's all I had time for.

I'm not sure! I just feel like I'm in a funk lately. Need to get my head on straight and quit with the negativity.

Remember to be kind to yourself. You are doing positive things for yourself. I get into funks as well.

are you tired? could be overtraining and not recovering enough? Sometimes you need a mental break too. Or maybe just do something fun and different and shake it up a bit. Hope your feeling better soon!

Felt better yesterday, but was then feeling a bit queasy today. I said to heck with it and went to the gym anyway.

04/25/11:

OHP Day - Wave B

Warm-up:
5 aussie pull-ups
5 push-ups
5 bench dips
10 squats
20 sit-ups
50 jumping jacks
10 thrusters

OHP:
2x5x45
1x3x45
1x3x55
1x3x65
1x5x65
3x10x55 (had to cheat and push press a couple of these)
2x10x45

Negative Chins:
3 sets of 5

Farmer Walks:
2 sets with 50 lb db's

Evening - stretching/foam rolling

Lunch:
mixed greens, chickpeas, steamed broccoli, nutritional yeast, hot sauce
2 apples

Snack:
protein + water

Dinner:
mixed greens, edamame, carrot, nori, sriracha, sesame seeds, miso dressing
pineapple
strawberries

I'm trying to cut out diet soda. Lately I've been drinking at least 1 a day since I have an endless supply at work. I don't mind having the occasional can, but I don't like the idea of having aspartame every single day.

04/26/11:

AM:
hill sprints (treadmill @ 12%) - 30 sec on/20 sec off for 10 rounds

The workout was less than 10 minutes but I was pretty sure I was going to die.

PM:
WOD -
5 rounds for time of
20 walking lunges
30 situps (had to switch to crunches for a few)
20 pushups (most of these were on my knees)

time: 17:31

Mary has been helping me put together workouts for awhile now and after today I am pretty sure she is a sadist!!

Lunch:
miso baked tofu, snow pea greens, brown rice
3 mandarins

Dinner:
chickpea tagine with zucchini, bell pepper, and chard
quinoa
strawberries
