I only did it once, a six minute wokrout. i coughed for an hour uncontrollably. exercise enduced bronchiospasm it's called. it was amazing. im going today and tomorrow...those are free trials i have and then after that maybe once or twice a week bodybuilding crossfit hybrid. 20 bucks a class.

also on the agenda are overhead squats and suitcase deadlifts and zurcher squats. lots of new exercises so i can change this skinny fat spilled over body of mine.

and my legs havent been this sore in months from monday. squats, front squats, nothing too heavy but then giant super set of walking lunges, leg exts, leg curls, and romanian dls all to failure (like 20 sets each).

crossfitting every day and focusing on compounds and metabolic conditioning, up to 5 strict pull ups, and 55 kips today as part of WOD, getting stronger, trying new exercises like suit case deads, overhead squats, weighted planks, freaky supersets... eating about 1900 cals clean except for once a week...havent been on the scale. big hurricane and now snow storm did some running too while gym lost power. i really like crossfit...not sure if i will compete again, here is photo update. also very busy at work, very tired and stressed not into posting lots of details anymore about reps and diet etc...

No more grains. cherry picking a lot of stuff from paleo obviously no meat or eggs, and not cutting out legumes, peanut butter or pea protein. Will hit about 120 protein a day 120ish carbs and 80-90 fat for 1700-1800 cals during the week...weekends up in the air.

Monday crossfit was a scaled lumber jack 20. finished in about 29 mins.. evening trained legs.
Back squats supersetted with neutral grip chins unassisted, most reps of chins 7, heaviest squats 95x12ish.
lunges supersetted with front squats. ascending wt on lunges up to 50x10 steps each side then all front squats were 45x20 (17 on last set)
Bear complex with 45lbs 4 times.
reverse lunges 25lbs supersetted with leg ext 5 sets up to 110ish lbs with a dropset
leg press, just 2 sets at 135, then back started hurting

tuesday crossfit scaled wittman
15 kettle bell swings with 35lbs, 15 power cleans with 65 lbs, 15 20 inch box jumps - 7 rounds. finished in about 23 mins. almost rx (except for power cleans supposed to be 75 for women)
tonight shoulders
delt triad 10, 10, 25lbs
stric barbell press; 16, 15, 14, 13, supersetted with 40lbs db farmers walks
dumbell press 15lbs x8, then overhead farmer walk, pressx8, then farmers walks four sets
plate raises 25x12x4
shrugs: 25lbsx16, 35x16x3
suit case kettle bell farmers walks, 4 times eachs ide, 20 kg, length of gym and back.

Just a reminder, to keep your butt on the back of the leg press. Once it lifts up (usually because you are going down to far) then your lower back comes into play. Keep the range of motion only on the quads. I was reminding someone else this week about that - because he kept hitting the stop buttons way at the bottom with loud clangs, and then he was complaining to me about how his back hurt. Told him the same thing, only go down to where your butt just barely lifts up off the back. Also he needed to work on his quads more than his hamstrings, so I gave him a yoga block to put between his knees and hold it there as he presses the weight up at that distance Worked like a charm for him as it did for me.

Is paleo diet against cashews and non gluten grains like buckwheat and millet?

How are you eating these days? Mostly fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds?

It basically argues that humans are only supposed to eat things that were available before the agricultural revolution. That obviously includes a lot of meat. Which is not something I agree with or am willing to do. No grains, which I can see why and no artificual sugars. Just focus on fruits, veggies, and nuts (but no legumes, so i dont know what a cashew is). technically no PB which is crazy, and i also need to eat pea protein, but i think that cutting out oats and cous cous is worth a shot to see how that goes. take a look at this video -- maybe it will make you change your mind about going hard core paleo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zVxA6yipv4

Paleo is against all legumes and peanuts are in the legume family. If you have been peanut butter for years and look good why give it up. Why is ok to drink alcohol on paleo but not eat peanuts or a healthy grain like oatmeal or qunioa. Most people don't have a gluten sensitivity. It is a new trend to freak people out so they spend money on over price gluten foods.

According to your photos you look really healthy. Why change what works for you.

One positive about paleo is unlimited fruits and nuts. LOL.
