In case any of you are wondering, yes I'm still training but I'm purely working on technique and improving my form right now. Workouts are pretty basic, weight is on the lower side while I get things sorted so I didn't feel like boring everyone by posting them up !!

Life has been crazy recently, hence another reason I haven't been on here much this last couple of weeks or so. Work has been busy and I've secured a few nice writing deals. Bought a motorbike last week, have my learners test in a couple of hours time...

Image

Had a shitty day last week and decided to take myself shopping ~ I hit the Louis Vuitton shop hard which did make me feel better 8)

Image

Treated the wife to a new watch and handbag as well...

Image

I have been training but TBH it feels like I'm just going through the motions right now. It's been a long time since that hasn't overly concerned me but I'm happy just enjoying life right now and all it has to offer!

OK.

1. Motorbikes are awesome
2. Louis Vuitton is not awesome

Now I am confused.

Hey MiniForklift,
Thanks for popping by my thread, been so busy with work recently i just haven't made the time to get on here and update all my workouts and read others peoples threads.
Awesome news that you got a motorbike and for passing the test, i'd love one but for now i have to settle for the train for getting to work, lol, as for Louis Vuitton, that must have cheered you up!

Keep up the training, great job.

Cheers guys. Bit of a change in my training, have been battling the last few weeks with a RSI type injury in my left hand. Have been having a tingling, strange feeling in my left hand/arm and my grip hasn't been as strong. Was really struggling with the weights side of things, especially deadlifts.

So have drifted back to the running for a little while. I'm always up for a challenge, so I signed up for an ultramarathon which give me 4 weeks to the day to get ready for it lol. I'm coming off 18 months of zero running so it should be interesting...

Pretty much been eating vegan for the last few weeks, probably my favourite meal right now is this one...

Image

Ramen noodles, beansprouts, TVP (textured vegetable protein), tofu & chinese vegetables in a cocunut curry sauce and served in a claypot with coconut rice. Delicious.

I'm booked in next week with a physio that specialises in hand/arm injuries so I'll let you all know what she thinks is wrong with it.

On a more positive note, I passed my motorbike theory test this morning.

Image

I'm now road legal woohoo (allowed to ride anything up to 250cc until I sit my full test)... time to kick the kids off my bike and learn how to do burnouts & wheelies :?

Sorry for the lack of posting recently, all is good here. Just been doing lots of family stuff (school holidays) and riding the bike. Easing back into the training and trying to get an appointment with the hand surgeon :(

My wifes' cousin is due to head over to London for the 2012 Olympics soon, she's had a great buildup and we're expecting big things from her. Just from the way her training and racing has been going I would bet she'll get a medal of some colour.

Looking forward to catching up with her properly when she's all done, she's a handy running partner (she has a 31.30min 10km time... and that's after her swim and bike) Always good to catch up with her, usually for some light training or hitting a Chinese restaurant with all of the family.

There's a nice little video on that link above, cheers MF.

I have had a few splurges the last few weeks, firstly it was the motorbike which I must admit I am stoked with !!

Anyhow, have had my eyes on a Rolex Submariner watch for ages and I finally got around to treating myself to one.

Image

http://www.rolex.com/en#/rolex-watches/submariner/submariner-date-40mm-steel-m116610ln-0001

Stamped: Stainless steel
Lugs: 20 mm
Crystal Diameter: 1.19 Inches (30.1 mm)
Width w/Crown: 1.72 Inches (43.7 mm)
Depth: 0.55 Inches (14.1 mm)
Length: 1.86 Inches (47.2 mm)
Total Weight:134.37Grams
Watch Type: Automatic.

Couldn't come home empty handed for my wife. I had a platinum bracelet with 20 individual diamonds set into it that was being made for her, and I also got her a Gucci watch she'd been dropping hints for.

I need to start working again now lol
