Tuesday - August 22

Today was workout #4 of the EAS Bench Press Training Program
I got a new personal best of 215#
It went up fairly quickly so I tried 220#
220 didn't go up very far and came back down.
Getting closer to my goal of 225# by the end of September.

I still have't been able to close my CoC #1 yet.
But I am a couple mm closer.
My new Ivanko Supergripper has been making my hands and arms ache. (in a good way)
I try to do at least 5 sets of 10 with each hand.
Also holding them closed as long as I can.
I've noticed that I do need a few more days rest after gripping.
If I take less than 3 days rest, I can't do nearly as many reps.
I'll try burning them only once a week from now on.

Friday - Aug, 25
Abs, waist, legs day

Saturday - Aug, 26

Today was back, bicep, forearm day.
Since my forearms are still sore, I just did a little light squeezing on the SuperGripper.
I decided to try my 1RM on the biceps. No improvement from early July.
That's OK since my forearms are still keeping me from hard arm work.

Sunday - August 27

Bench, Shoulders, Tricep day.
I was barely able to get 190 back up on the rack.
Yesterday was also a very weak day lifting for me.
I have been eating too much vegan junk food and not enough raw lately.
Chips and hummus have been my weakness since I discovered hummus.
So back to more raw for me again. I don't know why I just don't stay more raw.

Thursday - Aug, 31

This morning had me doing my EAS Bench Press Program
The last set was a failure test. I did 190x4. That means that I passed.
0-1 rep is not good. 2-4 is on track. 5+ is very good.

I'm still on track for my goal of 225. I should make it in 2 weeks.
This program should get me to 235 1RM in about a month.

Saturday - Sept, 2

I went for a 4 mile walk this morning.
It's been a while since I've been walking so I took Day 1 easy.
Walking is something I'm going to do a lot more of, like I did last year.
I also did abs, waist and legs.

Saturday - Sept, 9

Big milestone for me today on the bench. I got 2 new personal bests.
220 was my first new PB. Followed a couple minutes later by 225
225 is 2x45 on each end of the bar.
My goal was 225 by the end of Sept, got there 3 weeks early.

Bench Press, no time for shoulders or triceps this morning, maybe this evening.
I got 225 back up again this morning. It was very difficult.
Next I decided to try 230.
It came down easy - it always does, but didn't want to go back up.
I'll get 230 next week

Friday - Sept 22nd
Waist, Abs, Legs

Saturday - Sept 23rd
Back, Bicep, Forearms

Sunday - Sept 24th
Bench, Shoulders, Triceps

I haven't been able to complete the reps on the EAS Bench Program the last 2 workouts.
So I'll go back to my old workout for 3 weeks and then restart the program.
A little change is good.
Added 15 pounds to my 1RM in 4 weeks, just like the first time I did the program.

I started the EAS Bench Press Program again today.
My 1 RM is still 225. My goal is 250 by the end of November.
I got 230 almost up, but not quite.
