Gymmie's Getting Buff

OK, this started off as the Spring Challenge Journal, but I kinda fell off the wagon on that. So instead of starting over, I'm just going to continue on here.

I still have the same goals as below, with the weight and inches a bit modified. I'm aiming for 30 pounds by the end of the year and then I'll evaluate from there :)!

I don't really have a number for the inches, but the more the better :)

Fitness goals: Gymmie aka Sandie – Dallas, TX
Vegan since Jul 2006
Age: 37 (well I'm 36 but will be 37 in a couple of weeks so we'll just round up!)
Goals:
*Lose 60 pounds
*Lose 50 inches
*Obtain visible muscle
*Break men's necks as they do a double take--not due to how large I am but how HAWT I am!
Maintain workout program for 6 months (January – July) =
*3 days per week strength training (a combo of Tae Bo strength workouts and Jari Love)
*5-7 days per week = cardio (mostly Tae Bo/Turbo Jam)
*Contioning 1-2 times a week
*Additional abs at least 1x week
*Work up to 100 push ups
*Continue to drink 128 ounces minimum of water every day...ESPECIALLY Weekends
Current weight: 243.8
Desired weight: 183 (for contest..actual goal weight lower)

Workouts this week 12/31:

Sunday--Rest
Monday--Slim and Lean/CPR (done)
Tuesday--AL8/Great Body:Abs
Wednesday--AL8 (done)
Thursday--BL2/BL3 (done)
Friday--Slim & Lean (done)
Saturday--AL4/Studio 8 min/Studio Advanced Floor only (done)

hey gymmie!! Is that Mr Billie Banks in that photo with you??

I got some Tae Bo dvds for my birthday last july - and Russell just hooked up the DVR last night. I'll be checking them out in the near future - but I love the idea of kicking ass!!

Yes it is! That was after a filming of some of the workouts! And gosh darn it I'm going to get back to that!

How fun! You'll enjoy them! Billy is a blast!

I thought I recognized him! Cool. We tried out Tae Bo a while back, but never really got into it. Looks like a great workout though!

Mark--Yes the workouts are AWESOME! His first 5 years or so he did pure cardio workouts...now he's adding strength training! I lurve it!

Had a pretty good week last week! Only took one unscheduled rest day...so only got 2 days of strength in, but it's better than nothing!

This week I have:

Sunday--Rest
Monday--S&L
Tuesday--AL11/GB Abs
Wednesday--S&L
Thursday--New AL1/GB Abs
Friday--S&L
Saturday--Billy's January Challenge

And like last week, I'll probably and an additional 30 minutes or so of cardio on strength days.

Goodness! I haven't updated in a while!

Scale wise I haven't lost much, but inch wise it seems I've done well! I don't measure again until the 28th, but the jeans I wear on Fridays feel looser each and every week! I did a size check on some other jeans, I have one pair that I can pretty much wear, but the pooch needs some work! But it does seem to be smaller so maybe it won't be too bad now! But in any case a long shirt can hide that!

I was sick most of last week so I didn't get a lot of my workout in but at least I didn't gain either!

This week I have:

Sunday--Rest
Monday--Slim and Lean/fluidity
Tuesday--Billy's Favorite Moves
Wednesday--Slim & Lean/Fluidity
Thursday--Cardio Circuit 2
Friday--Slim and Lean/Fluidity
Saturday--Open

I'm going to most likely do more cardio and abs, but not sure which ones yet.
