What's over the top???

#1 Postby Over40 » Fri Jun 03, 2005 7:33 pm

I happened onto an old "Flex" 1/2 hour show on the Healthy Living Channel today. Shawn Ray, Boyer Coe and Kevin Leverone were going through a shoulder/tricep workout. It was probably filmed around 94-95.

It has been a long time since I have seen, or paid attention to a professional bodybuilder. And, I have to admit, I didn't find their appearance that appealing or aesthetic.

My daughter (9) asked if they were wearing "suits".

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I think a natural- non GH, steriod- bodybuilder looks much more impressive than the "freaky" look.

Reg Park, Steve Reeves, Clint Walker, Bill Pearl and even Arnold S. looked very human. These guys, and it has been said in the press, look like cartoon characters.

What does everyone else think?

Im all for that. thats the aim im going for, more greek god like proportions rather than overcharacterized muscle upon muscles.

LOL @ Suits, hahaha.

I would like to look like those guys, I want to be a monster. However my goal right now is Brock Lesnar type. I can live my life with a Brock Lesnar type of body.

I had to look Brock up on the net. Hey, that's not a bad look to have.

You wanna see over the top?????????/

Check out some of the photos I've taken from the IFBB pro bodybuilding events.

If you click under IFBB Pro Bodybuilding on the main site of www.veganbodybuilding.com you'll find hundreds of photos from the Olympia, Arnold Classic, USA's, San Francisco Grand Prix, and other events.

Here's a sneak peak of a complete freak! -Also one of my bodybuiding buddies......but he's still a FREAK!:

I know they are over the top, but these are the guys who inspired me to get started in bodybuilding. So I still give them credit. Without their motivation and influence.......no veganbodybuilding.com with Robert Cheeke.

We're both blonde, but he's about a million times bigger than me!

Lee and I appeared together in FLEX Magazine in an article about Vegan Muscle.

You can see the article on the main site under bodybuilding. It's called FLEX Articles.

I know Cathy Priest fairly well too, talk with her on the phone sometimes.

Anyway, thanks man, you're awesome.

I better get to bed, only 4 1/2 hours sleep last night and worked today plus arm workout.

I'm beat!
