I've been away awhile, life's been nuts. Sorry. I will try to get this updated soon. I have some new numbers to put up for myself.

Everything is updated. Feel free to check your numbers and make sure everything is in the right slot, that I calculated your total right, etc.

Guess I might as well get in on this.

Squat: 220
Deadlift: 275
Bench: 155
Total: 650
Bodyweight: 163

All for reps but whatever. Will update again in another 50 lbs.

squat 150
dead 170
bench 105
BW 127
If these women are really lifting as much as they say I want to see videos!! In my opinion I look a hell of a lot stronger than most of them so it just doesn't make sense. I've got female friends who compete in bodybuilding competitions who dont lift the weights indicated here by some of the women!!
Is this your one rep max or what you actually use to do a set with? I've indicated weights I can do 8-10 reps with...

The table is about your one rep max, but if you haven't tested it it's fine to list weights that you can lift for reps.

I don't see the point in lying about the weights you've lifted. Why would anyone lie and say they can squat 200 when you could say you can squat 500? It's always cool to see videos of weight lifting though. You should post some of yourself if you have some.

As for your bodybuilder friends; well, I can only assume that their focus is bodybuilding and not strength training. Plenty of strong people don't look as strong as they are and plenty of huge bodybuilders are not as strong as they look. For example, there's a guy in my gym who weighs around 125-130 lbs and can deadlift 585 and there are guys who are massive and ripped who I've seen struggle with a 225 lb deadlift.

You don't see the point? Sheer macho competativeness..and women are probably even more guilty of it than the men!
Its like when aluck said she could squat some phenomenal amount, but when the video was posted she was only doing 1/4 reps...it explained a lot. Afterall, I can curl with 34k if I do partials, but need to drop down to 16k if I want to do a full rep.

Personally if I think I was any younger I would greatly exaggerate what i could lift.
As it stands I only believe Mary Stellas numbers as she is well beyond all that false posturing now and an admirable athlete
Oh, and about the videos, I would feel like a twat making videos in the gym so I don't see it happening anytime soon really

Squats definitely are a varied lift as far as depth goes, since most people don't even go near parallel. That is what I love about deadlifts. Pretty hard to cheat.
