Kira
Friday was my chest + abs day, today is Sunday and my chest is still aching. Did high intensity for about an hour. Is this normal? How do I tell if I'm overtraining? ( I take 2 rest days after each workout so I'm hitting it again tmr) sorry for the broken sentences, I suck at typing off my HTC. AlexNLP
For how long you been doing the current workout routine ?I don't know if you just began training or not. But at the beginning it actually takes time for the muscles to get used for the workouts. Usually over training is a different concept referring to a more intensive training when you burn out. Cellar Yeti
You'll know. You'll get tired, want to take naps, feel a bit bummed etc. You'll figure out how often you need to rest and such. I am over trained right now. I need a week off but I'm holding out until my Lasik.
precision female
Hey, I think its impossible you're over training if you have 2 rest days between workouts. Although in the first 2 - 3 weeks of working out - or sudden dramatic increase in workout intensity - your muscles will probably scream for days afterward...mine did. ( I ignored it, as long as they'd had a days rest I kept with my workout schedule) I just read Weider's Ultimate bodybuilding book...here are the symptoms of over training (from the notes I took) Body will not improve if over trained.Lack of enthusiasm for working outChronic fatigue/low energyIrritabilityPersistent sore muscles/jointsDeteriorating motor functionInsomniaLoss of appetiteCan't concentrateMorning pulse more than 4 bpm above normal.
