fat distribution

Recommended Posts

Would love any info on fat distribution and how to "even out" your body. My upper body is pretty slim naturally and since I've been working out I can see a lot more definition and even my abs are starting to show. The lower part of my body is where I hold onto fat the longest and I'm wondering what needs to happen to help the bottom part of me catch up to the top. Haha.

I appreciate any insight. Thanks!

That's your genetic make up, so nothing you can do. Stop worrying over how you look & concentrate on performance. This way your body will fall into line.

As an aside I hold weight on my stomach/legs...as do all my family. But also I get a broad back, big chest & shoulders. So I squat the hell out my legs & now my quads look pretty impressive

Is there any way I can lose fat .. just not from my boobs? lol. I wish.

Your body has a preferred place to store fat (depending on genetics and sex) so I don't think there is too much you can do about it.

I read once that yo-yo dieting may be bad since your body is inclined to store fat in certain places and then let go of it from there last... making any fat distribution problems more exaggerated. Of course I've read other articles that dispute this idea too. Nevertheless I've had that imprinted so you'll probably never convince me to try out 'bulking' .. just in case.

I read another article that suggested keeping the parts you want to lose fat hot - like with a heating pad. Something about increased blood flow to that area. That one I didn't get on board with. Probably about as effective as drinking cold water to lose weight. I found one article for you... I made my judgment already, but you gotta make your own judgements ... http://www.drclay.com/2011/03/spot-reduction-possible/

Everybody say's there's no way to spot reduce fat, but I say that's total bull..... It's called Liposuction.

Okay, there no GOOD way to spot reduce fat

I haven't researched it, but I've heard that liposuction removes the fat cells in specific spot. So, if someone overeats after that, the fat has to go to another spot on their body, one where they might like it even less.

For example, someone may get their stomach, ass and thighs liposuctioned.....they they might start accumulating huge amounts of fat on their arms and shoulders.

I'm really appreciating your feedback, thank you! I don't want to do liposuction LOL so that's not an option.

It seems like basically I just need to keep working out and eating right and eventually the weight will drop from the more stubborn areas.

Hi guys, I would like to say that you should not ignore Lipoplasty because it's really not as scary as you think. And using it can help you solve your problem without too much trouble. A procedure called Jetlipo is liposuction using water this way is much safer than conventional laser liposuction. And it has other benefits, so I advise you to read more about it.
