i'd have to disagree, a real fight should be able to go anywhere, and 90% of them end up on the ground. i for one, find a good grappling and submission match to be just as exciting as a stand up battle. too bad you can't appreciate the technique and skill it takes to have a good ground game. i'm not talking about lay and pray guys who just hold a fighter down and punch him in the kidney. i'm talking about professional submission artists. there are some practitioners who can put on an absolute clinic, and submit guys who are much bigger than they are. and i don't care how strong a guy is, if all he knows is how to throw a punch, they will not last long in any no holds barred or MMA competition.

well, you may not enjoy the next season of the Ultimate Fighter, since the coaches are two of the top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighters in the game: Antonio Minotauro Nogueira and Frank Mir.

here is the first trailer release for the new season!

and here is the latest one.

Seriously. And he only missed weight by 1 lb.
Krzysztof Soszynski tore some shit up in his fight.

yes he did , you what I dont know if you caught the original cast special over the weekend, but white made the comment that this season they had a kid as good as anderson silva in the 155 class on the show. I dont know if he was talking about Krz or if he meant some one who fights like anderson silva. In any case there is a whole nother episode so I guess I will have to wait and see.

If it is Krz he was talking about that would be a satisfactory example for me. But I was hoping to see someone who fought exactly like silva.

Any way looks like a great season.

just saw the first episode, good episode overall. tough break for guida, he should just try the heavyweight division. he was puking and cramping way too much to be cut any more weight.

that guy fainting was a trip, i thought they were gonna say he was sick or something. but he made up for it in his fight.

what kind of name is Junie? i've been trying to figure out if it's short for something else... Junior maybe? anyways, he looked impressive, a bit too cocky, but impressive. and yeah, Krzysztof looked like a mad dog in there. tore thru his opponent quick. let's see if he can keep that streak going. looking forward to the rest of the season.

well i don't know if anyone saw this last episode. i have read about it and seen clips of the chaos that happened on this episode.

SPOILER ALERT BELOW!

Junie is out of control! everyone was sure he was going to get kicked out of the house. somehow Dana decided to let him stay. i don't understand why, the guy has already swung at people and even cut someone with broken glass. people have gotten kicked out for much less than that. he clearly has problems and needs help. best thing for him would be to get him out of the show and into therapy.

and at the end of this show, apparently he jumps over the octagon fence and attacks the guy who just won. this guys is has got to go. he's gonna get himself or others hurt. the only reason he is staying i guess, if for the ratings he's bringing in. makes for good "reality" tv.

somehow junie managed to stay on the show and not get kicked out. i don't understand why. he has managed to alienate everyone in the house and his coach too. but he will have to fight next week, we'll see how that goes. while i liked him at first, now i am hoping he gets tapped out quick.

I gave up on this episode. I have zero interest in guys like Junie, why waste my time watching them get exposure?

I'm finished with TUF.

yeah i am very close to not watching this season anymore. i just saw a preview of the next episode where junie fights. he spits on the ground and pushes his opponent at the standoff. honestly, the only reason i may watch is because i'm hoping to see him lose. he has already gotten away with too much.

i stopped watching tuf 8 after i heard that Junie spit on a guys black belt. just hearing it made me dis gusted, so if i actually saw it would just make me furious. so i stopped there and never saw another show. but i found this great interview w/ new champ Frank Mir, where he tells us exactly how he felt about Junie, and the whole mess that is reality tv. you can see and hear how passionate he is about martial arts.

i didn't wanna start a whole new thread for each season of TUF, so i decided to change the title and use this as an ongoing thread for all the seasons.

even though the next season doesn't start until April, there is already a teaser out. you may have seen it during the commercial breaks in UFC 95. this season, it's Team USA (Dan Henderson head coach) vs Team UK (Michael Bisping head coach).

i thought it was a bit funny to hear a Sex Pistols song in the background of the commercial. anyways, i just hope there are no Junie Brownings in this season, cuz that would just stop me from watching the whole thing.
