Nice ride...its a bit too clean though

Is the rear hub yellow too??? I like the look of matching hubs...most people don't go that far.

ahah a bike photo thread, good idea! I had a photo of my bike but didn't wanted to put it on Veganpotter's thread "my new machine" even if my bike wouldn't have stolen the show because mine is so crappy compared to his.

Anyway, here's mine, a Nishiki that must be about 20 years old now, with an over 62000 miles of milage. At that time there was even a few pros cycling with this model and winning competitions.

The picture is like 10 years old, taken by my father, when it was his bike. Of course now the pedals are not like that, its clip-on pedals with special shoes (sorry for my lack of technical words) and I changed the seat for a ultra thin shaped and light Italian one.

This photo is pretty old. So unfortunatly it's not exactly like that anymore. My dad maintained it well, but as soon as I began using it, it started to deteriorate and parts falling apart, lol. Maybe not that bad, but I often cycle under the rain, and almost never clean it. Most of time it's a really dirty bike.

Steel holds up pretty well to bad weather...aluminum would be worse. As for the parts you can replace them all...maybe upgrading to more modern equipment???

Yep the Rear hub is Yellow too.... (It's a DT Swiss hub, so it sounds cool too)

I use to have a yellow seat as well, unfortunately it broke and I couldn't find another yellow seat that was comfortable.

I've got DT hubs that are gonna be built soon(I built the front but the rear is a pain since we don't have the right spokes right now). They've got red in them but they aren't as red as I want so I'm thinking I may buy red Chris King hubs...a bit heavy but they look cool and sound almost as good at DTs.

Everyone has beautiful bicycles, really. Tasha no fair, I want a track bike!!!! I love the color schematic, I bet it's a smooth ride.

Well, Bike Porn comin at ya!

My beloved Koga Miyata and Ortlieb Panniers/Bags (all are waterproof but one which some animal in the wilderness managed to scratch up in the middle of the night to get to my cacao beans.

If you observe pic 1, you will see the double kickstand action going on for when the bags are loaded. (front wheel kickstand).

I only put the bags on for trips. I want to one day fill on bag up with spirulina another with pre sprouted barley powder and two with clothes and put my tent and sleeping bag on the back and go cross country. Main reason why I bought it in the first place...

Saddles are very tricky...nothing is comfortable for everyone since everyones shaped different...I suggest trying a few out at a bike shops that offers demo saddles...finding a non leather saddle will be a breeze so don't worry about that too much.

Maybe I'd better wait until I can afford one. I'd rather not go to jail for stealing a bike lol.

Good call. I can't count the number of customers I've had that have bought an $800-1200 bike only to say it didn't quite cut it...then they wind up buying a $2000-3000 bike. Or of course you can steal one...I suggest not stealing one in front of a police officer.

Aw thanks. I'm all about the color Although it looks really similar to a track bike, because it's so Areo. But it's actually a TT/Tri bike.

What's your frame made out of? I was going to say steal.

Whatever the case, it's a really REALLY ridiculously cool bike

My bike's frame is made out of triple-hardened and triple-butted 7005 aluminium and it is TIG welded. So basically, aluminum.
