Mac Danzig update

#1 Postby damdaman » Wed May 28, 2008 1:12 pm

Mac has been featured in two mainstream, popular magazines.

Sports illustrated did an in-depth feature on him here:

And Men's Fitness is featuring him as one of the "25 Fittest Men in America" in the July issue. They have an interview here (first question is about veganism!):
(my favorite question in this interview: "What do you think about the claims that soy protein is estrogenic and will make you grow boobs and cause your balls to fall off?")
and also a "UFC Workout" based on his routine here:

Mac's official site, also says that while the fight hasn't been signed yet, Mac's next fight will likely be in September.

I love Mac! He seems to be an awesome guy and my friend has spent some time with him and confirmed he's a class act, top notch guy.

awesome stuff, thanks for the links! my favorite quote of the article.

[Would you like to fight] an animal abuser or a factory farmer?
"[Laughs] This is just a sport for me. It's not about animosity and wanting to be violent. I wouldn't give those people the satisfaction of fighting me in my sport. If I had to take care of one of those guys, it would be in a back alley with a baseball bat [laughs]."

i hear they are trying to set up a fight with Clay Guida. that would be fireworks, great fight.
