8.1km run. 3km on the flat. 5.1km up! ive cycled the world and its the steepest paved road i know of.

we had 2482 entrants. thats a lot o runners up a climb. i started on the front line. ended up that i placed 8th overall with a time of 52:17. the winning time was 46:55. i was happy with that cos ive only ran 129km since jan the 1st! lol!

we foraged a few rambutans off a local tree that morning. rode 1hr to the start. good warm up. but being tropical asia..its freak'n warm 24/7! lol! we parked our bikes at a local fruit stall. did the run, walked back down and bought some local mangosteens from the dude and composted the skins in the bushes. just another organic athlete race day..lol!

got on the front page of the penang paper yesterday..no need to send a postcard to grandma..i can just send the front page!

Wow, great job! that sounds like a really fun race. I've always wanted to do an uphill race like this or Mt Washington Road Race, or Pikes Peak. Ever thought of doing that one?
