I don't know if you all know it, but veteran hockey player Georges Laraque who's been in the NHL for about 12 years now I believe ? is now vegan since almost one year and he's a real activist for it, paying once a month a big room in Montreal to show the movie Earthlings on big screen, he also did the French dubbing for the movie which can now be bought on DVD in French version. He went to the most popular talk show in Quebec, 'Tout le Monde en Parle' to talk about hockey but also he talked about all aspects of veganism - health, animals and environment - and wasn't afraid to even ask straight questions to people about their meateating habits.
Even if his Haitian nation must go through lately with the earthquake and even if he cannot continue with Canadiens hockey team for the rest of this season and he must find a new team for next season he still militates for animal rights these days, and what he said at the tv show and the way he said it always with his nice smile is amazing, talking about veganism in front of over 1,5 million people. And they showed about 30 seconds of a cruel scene of Earthlings during this talk show
