I would recommend getting a road bike, if you get more serious about it you can always upgrade, or do what I did and run some aero bars on it.
The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. The Iron is my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

I did get a road bike. A Specialized Dolce and I love it.

Nice! What is everyone else riding? I'm riding an old steel Bianchi with a "New" (2007) Carbon Campagnolo Chorus groupo and Easton EA90 Wheels.

I am on a Cannondale Caad 9-5 I bought this year. It's a 2009 model so they gave me a sweet deal on it. It's my first road bike so it suits me fine.
