emma1488
Hi guys, I wasn't really sure where to post this thread, so here it is... How many of you use a body fat percentage as a guide to progress? And if so, what do you use? I ask this because I'm feel disheartened with the scales not moving but I can see myself gaining muscle tone. I have used a website that someone else recommended that you enter your measurements and it comes up with what you are...A couple of weeks ago i was 28.5% and now I'm at 27.2%. This is the website I have been using: http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance
Fallen_Horse
I think body fat is a much better 'number' to gauge progress by, although my favorite test is still the mirror!
emma1488
Ergh! The mirror is a little b***h. I am still not noticing much of a difference. I might take some more progress shots in about 2 weeks to see if I can see a difference and add them on here to see if anyone else can see a difference... precision female
I just did the calculations on that website...says I'm 22% but at the gym with the hand hand electronic body fat device recommended by the gym techs ( it sends electric current through your body to determine the amount of you that is fat) I'm 11.5%. I wouldn't trust the website calculations...it can't tell how much of you is muscle or fat.
