Muay Thai is awesome. I went to an mma gym and trained for a little while. It is simple enough to understand and applicable to any situation really. I was in good shape going to learn that and was still humbled every time. It's hard work, but it's really rewarding. If you want to see some of the more stylized uses of Muay Thai check out the martial artist Tony Jaa. That pretty much sold me right away. Check out his movies, Ong Bak 1, 2, and 3, and The Protector. Now of course I don't really have to say that it was stylized for the screen but you can see the legitimate use of his moves in fighting scenes and it stays pretty close to the fundamentals. Good luck!
