Cycling chart

#1 Postby robert » Tue Jun 20, 2006 7:28 pm

Let's start a cycling chart to post race times, mileage, etc.

What are your best race times with distances listed?

What about miles traveled in a day, or week?

Let's see it folks!

Once we get enough responses, we'll make a chart to inspire and motivate.

I like the idea Robert...
I don't race that much, so I guess I will enter what I think is my best cycling achievement.
The longest ride I have completed was 900 miles in 16 days, cycling from Lands End to John o'Groats (From the bottom of England to the top of Scotland) As you can imagine, it isn't exactly flat....
I guess another achievement is the longest day mountain biking, which was around 60 miles - I realise that this doesn't sound like much to the roadies, but when you think that this involves lots of single track (narrow twisting tracks not much wider than your handle bars, aka tree-dodging), hills, logs to ride over etc, it means a little more... In other words, a whole day ride that was pretty hard going.

Haven't done much racing as I'm training for next year...but here we go

Fastest Flat road speed w/out drafting- 36mph...after that I lost about 1mph every second

Downhill speed- 52mph

Slowest Uphill due to feeling terrible and bonking- 4mph

Longest ride- 112 miles

Most Milage in a week-450 as of today and it will be 500 tomorrow...and I'm not happy about it
