Hip Mobility

I'm interested in hearing any experience in improving hip mobility. Specifically, I'm preparing to attend a 10 day meditation retreat in a few months and I'd like to be able to sit comfortably in cross legged positions for ~30 minutes at a time.

Any advice or experience is appreciated. Thanks!

Find a physical therapist, get checked out, know your limits before working out your hip so you don't make things worse. I would think yoga could be really helpful but I'd definitely go the physical therapist route first so you know what you are working with.

Sit in a squat position and push your knees out with your elbows. That helped me a lot.
