Kjtten's progress photos

#1 Postby kjtten » Mon Apr 21, 2008 7:10 pm

I'm hitting the weights again, and looking to trim about 5# of fat from the lower half. Very much a pear shape here. I might have nice leg muscles, under all the padding!

I really don't do a lot of training, maybe 15 minutes 3 times a week, and it's giving me great results. I've had this much muscle before, so it's muscle memory to some degree.

I'm watching overall calories and trying to ramp up to more cardio. I'm working towards a June 26 goal date, for losing 5 pounds of fat. Current stats are 136#, 21.5%.

Nice. You look already in pretty good shape. The results will be amazing.

Toned and curvy--that's a pretty rockin' combination.

Back and Bi's look great.... waist is tight. Good work! :)
BTW how tall are you?
I would suggest doing more weightlifting, especially in the areas where you want to lose fat. 8)

Thanks for the compliments  :D and suggestions, all. I'm 5-6.

I've been doing squats, dead lifts and lunges for legs, and I want to do more :P

I am working out at home with a set of adjustable dumbbells (up to 25# each), no gym membership at the moment. So it's all pretty basic...

Have you tried one legged squats? I'm betting the squats with dumbbells, if not already too easy, will be soon.

good stuff girl. Yeh, wonderful definition in your biceps and all around upper body in general. Hard to tell what's going on in your lower body but I would imagine you have fairly strong legs looking at your physique. 2 1/2 lbs a month bf loss is a very reasonable and attainable goal. You can make it and surpass that goal, I have faith in ya.

Also isn't muscle memory grand? I had that as well getting back into the groove...

I really like your biceps and shoulders. You're already in very good shape. Can't wait to see the results if they look even better!

one legged squats, ooo

I did 3 sets of 20 (two-legged) squats last night, with 40# in my hands. definitely rubber legs after that, we'll see if I'm sore tomorrow.

I do have muscular legs, and calves already look pretty good, I just carry most of my body fat on the butt and thighs. Guess I'm female

Thanks again for the encouragement!

A little back story -- in 1999 I weighed my all time hi of 191 ... went down to 142 over the course of 2 years, while losing little if any lean mass.

Maintained since then. Last fall I got to 136 by changing my diet (added more good fats, of all things)... I've been there since. Just in the last month or two I've kicked up the workouts.

kjten;

I think you are starting off in very good shape. You have nice musculature on your back and arms. Your lower body does not look at all like it needs to be reduced. Very fit and feminine looking.
