VBBAF ( this board ) has one of the most current versions of the phpBB web board software. Many other sites use versions over 5 years old. As a result, one of the cool features we enjoy is the ability to embed youtube videos in our posts. By "embed" I mean having a picture of the video with controls to watch it......versus just a URL.

You can accomplish this by putting youtube tags on both ends of your youtube URLs:



However sometimes that doesn't work. Instead of getting the youtube player embedded in the post you get something like this:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY7875_rv1s&feature=related[/youtube]

The way around this is to delete the ampersand ( the '&' symbol ) and everything in the URL after it.

Instead of this:


Remove this or any part of the URL that starts with a '&'
&feature=related
