pea protein

#1 Postby skee-lo » Sun Nov 27, 2005 11:16 pm

Has anyone been using pure advantage pea protein powder? If so, has it helped with muscle mass?

I know the company says that research has shown that pea protein has been just as effective as whey protein or better, but I haven't been able to find really any information at all on pea protein.

I've been using the Pure Advantage Pea Protein almost exclusively for the past year now. I've heard the same thing about it being around as effective as whey - not sure if it's completely true or not, but I have managed to add about 13 lbs. in the past year with little change to my diet. I definitely like the stuff a lot (it doesn't hurt that I get it at cost, either :D )

I use Pure Advantage Vegan Complete, which is a pea and rice combo. Guess I'm still a bit superstitious about protein complimentarity!
