DesmondMajestic
The trainer I'm about to start working with recommends "The Zone" for his clients as an easy program. I went and bought "The Soy Zone" thinking I might go vegan as well, which is something I've been pondering for a while. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on this? michael
Congratulations on being a free thinker in so far as your contemplation of veganism is concerned. I sure wish there were more people like you out there. As far soy information/research is concerned, look to people like Dean Ornish, Neal Barnard, Mark Messina, Dreena Burton, John McDougall and others in place of Barry Sears. Dr. Sears once bashed soy until he changed teams and rode the soy bandwagon for gain. Don't get too hung up on soy, either, there is a veritible cornucopia of superfoods out there you should strive to become equally acquainted with. Wholesome, organic and fresh fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes are far superior to the derivatives of the soybean anyway(soy protein isolate, for example). My soy use is restricted to occasional tofu and homemade soy milk derived from whole, organic soybeans. Good luck to you.
