Plate, not Pyramid

#1 Postby beforewisdom » Thu Jun 02, 2011 10:22 am

The USDA is retiring the Food Pyramid and replacing it with a "My Plate" similar to what the German government has had. It isn't perfect, but the "My Plate" is much simpler graphically and verbally. The advice is also more modern:

"The plural of anecdote is not data." (Roger Brinner)

I saw this on the news while at the gym some time last week. Yeah, I think it's funny that they have to squeeze in that glass of milk. Like it couldn't be any more obvious that it's not necessary at all.
