Cyanocobalamin vs Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B-12)

Is there really any difference between the two?

I've been taking a B-12 supplement for years (sublingual, Cyanocobalamin) but now I hear that it's much better to get your Vitamin B-12 from Methylcobalamin.

Anyone know the facts?

Methyl doesn't have to be converted in the body before being used, but it also goes 'bad' quicker in the bottle. Also there isn't a great body of evidence showing methyl is useful for anyone but those that specifically have B12 digestion issues (pernicious anemia)....

I think I am going to switch to methyl since it's easier to digest and doesn't have any cyanide in it.

Another option is hydroxocobalamin injections, from a doctor or DIY. It's just a pin-prick, no need to find veins or anything. You can get the tiny needles + hydroxo at most pharmacies over-the-counter. Then there's no question about will I/won't I absorb B-12.
