#1 Postby SaraTonin » Thu Jan 19, 2012 1:01 pm

I usually take Deva supplements and they do have a vegan Dha omega 3 but I was just wondering if anyone prefers a different brand. Thanks in advance!!

my DHA is Spectrum Vegetarian DHA which I found at whole foods. I don't take it.
for Omega 3 though I take Vega EFA Antioxidant Oil Blend. shake it up right and it tastes like candy.

Personally I think flax is the common one, simply because it's the most available and cheapest, although people still use Chia, Udo's, etc. I take a DHA capsule every few days and try to get ground flax seed in my diet at least every other day, as well as attempting to minimize my intake of processed omega-6 fats. It can be a challenge! :D

It is a challenge. I use LSA on my oats every morning and sometimes in my shakes, but I've never really taken flaxseed oil as I know it has to be converted in the body before we can make use of it. Also, from the research I have seen it appears that women are better at converting & utilising flaxseed oil than men are.

Udo's oil is hard to get here in New Zealand, if it was freely available I would probably look into that one as I know it is well revered in the ultrarunning community.

I have taken this one:
http://www.source-omega.com/how-pure-on ... nefits.htm
and I have taken this one:
http://store.veganessentials.com/v-pure ... p2098.aspx

They are both the same to me. I just get the one that is in stock at the time of my ordering. Do not know if they are available in other countries.
