Good post. This article is going on my fb and twitter. "If you consistently restrict food intake, fat mass declines and so does leptin, and this signals the hypothalamus to stimulate hunger and make the body use calories more efficiently, in an attempt to regain lost body fat."

Why is this concept so hard for people to get/believe/practice?

I'm guessing due to the ubiquitous and misleading marketing promos put on by Weight Watchers, NutriSystem, and Jenny Craig, where it pays to have your clients coming back again and again and again and....
