C.O.
Vega lists retinyl palmitate in their supplement ingredients. This comes from animal products and vega is completely vegan. Plant based products vitamin A is in the form of carotenoids. Does anyone know of plants that have retinyl palmitate in them or what vega is using to include it in their powders? -Dylan
Baby Hercules
No plants--however, if it is synthetically produced, it would be vegan, just not exactly "natural." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retinyl_palmitatehttp://www.livestrong.com/article/468186-what-is-vitamin-a-palmitate/ Baby Herc

C.O.
hhahahahaha. I found what you found when I googled. I haven't found what I am looking for. My friend was concerned with vitamin A toxicity from retinyl palmitate in vega whole food optimizer, has higher levels than recommended for females apparently. I love Vega products. I was under the impression that they are completely vegan and also natural/whole foods based. I just wanted confirmation.
