Sports Nutritionist Austin TX

#1 Postby FBWSTX » Mon Aug 06, 2012 11:24 am

Hello,

I am looking for a recommendation of a sports nutritionist in Austin, TX. I am training for my first Half marathon as a vegan and do not feel I am eating the right amount of protein or for recovery.

Thank you,

Kim

I don't know any licensed sports nutritionists in Austin but Robert Cheeke the founder of this forum lives in Austin now. Shoot him a private message on here I'm sure he can help you with the recovery info that you are looking for.

Thank you. However, I am looking for a licensed nutritionist who can make a full meal plan and ensure I am receiving the correct nutrition.

You don't think you're getting enough protein? How much protein are you eating vs. how much do you think is enough? I've run several half-marathons as a vegan and haven't had a problem. Here is a great guide for training for a half as a vegan/vegetarian: http://www.nomeatathlete.com/half-marathon-roadmap/

Here is a recommendation for a nutritionist in Austin who might be able to help:
