Post-workout nutrition choices? New VEGAN has no clue.

Ok I'm a new(er) vegan. After an intense leg workout today, I ended the workout not having clue what to eat/drink. My old days would have been a whey-based protein shake. Sure, I could go with a soy isolate based drink...but there must be other choices right?

 

What do you guys consume after a heavy lifting workout?

Post Workout Shakes are a matter of personal preference.

You can live without them and have a nice meal after your workouts.

 

If you(just like me) really want to have a shake after your workouts you could go for a vegetarian protein blend, sunwarrior is a great choice as well - like MF stated. The most consumed are pea protein, rice, hemp, soy or a blend

 

Check out www.veganproteins.com and see some choices, they have good prices on their selection but there are cheaper brands available on other websites.
