Recovery Supplementation

I do take a vegan protein powder after my workouts. I do crossfit, running, yoga, etc. Recently I've upped my weight a decent amount & have been thinking from its effects on my body that I might need a further recovery method. Does anyone have any suggestions on a recovery drink/meal?

I make the lemon-lime recovery drink from the Thrive book. I think the recipe is online on one of Brendan Brazier's websites. It's tasty, and apparently hits the 4:1 carb:protein ratio required for recovery.

BCAA are better than creatine if you ask me. Scientifically speaking, creatine does little more than help the muscles hold water and tax the liver and kidneys if I am not mistaken... although some studies have shown it to help replenish ATP faster. Still, the BCAA can help your muscle to not even tear/fatigue during workouts. It can rebuild what did tear after workouts, without having to go to sleep or sit still for an hour. That is much like magic in my opinion. Expensive for a reason...
