Jessifly should definitely rent a trailer so you'll be in completely different spaces on the trip.

It's still my food journal. Here is a look at Tuesday.

robert wrote:
I slept in again today. I've been training more, so maybe it makes me extra tired.

I ate as soon as I got out of bed so you can get an idea of when I got up :)

Tuesday November 27, 2007

10:55AM
8 ounces orange juice
1 banana

11:30AM
12 ounces orange juice
1 banana

12:30PM
Green Protein Drink (12g protein, 320 calories)
1 banana

2:45PM
2 large plates of greens with Vega omega 3-6-9 EFA oil
2 servings of artisan bread with Vega oil
1 ginger ale natural soda from Whole Foods

5:30PM
2 slices of seed bread with peanut butter
8.4 ounces green tea energy drink (pre-workout since Zack reminded me to go)

6:30PM
2 slices of seed bread with peanut butter

8:45PM
1 banana
1 Asian pear

(at the gym from 9:30PM-11:30PM)
30 ounces water consumed

11:45PM
Protein drink (20g protein, 380 calories)

12:30AM
4 slices of seed bread with peanut butter
1/2 carton (2 servings) of lemon sorbet

Approximate Totals for Tuesday November 27, 2007

Total Calories consumed = 3,800

Total Grams of protein = 125 grams

Total ounces of water = 30 ounces

Other liquids = 75 ounces

Notes/Comments:

Today was another day fairly heavy in breads and oils, but I liked it. I also had the two large salads and almost had two more salads after my workout but I wanted something heavier. So I went with the four slices of bread with peanut butter on each one.

My meal frequency wasn't quite as high, but still good, eating 9 times during the day.

My workout was late in the evening because of work and tomorrow I will take a day off from the gym. I think I'll be out of town all day tomorrow so it will be a day filled with fruit and energy bars and maybe one real meal.

Anyway, the food journal is fun and it's keeping me well fed!

Wednesday November 28, 2007

I'll be out of town all day today so I'll be eating on the road, spending as much as 6 hours in my car today!

I went to bed after 2AM and up at 7:40AM to get ready. I need to focus a bit more on sleep but my late workout last night pushed me back.

Anyway, here we go. I'll update more later when I get home:

7:45AM
2 mandarin oranges

8:00AM
Clif Builder Bar (20g protein 270 calories)
10 ounces orange juice

10:30AM
Clif Builder Bar (20g protein 270 calories)
8.4 ounces green tea energy drink

1:00PM
Bowl of rice, beans, veggies
Green salad with olives, beans, salsa, tomatoes, more

3:30PM
Clif Builder Bar (20g Protein 270 calories)

4:45PM
Quinoa, potatoes

7:45PM
Food from Blossoming Lotus: Hummus, cucumber, red peppers, tempeh
Avacado, Quinoa, beans, sauce, kale, etc.
40 ounces water

11:30PM
1/2 serving chocolate Vega
A few tablespoons of soy ice cream
2 mandarin oranges

Approximate Totals for Wednesday November 28, 2007

Total Calories consumed = 3,000

Total Grams of protein = 130 grams

Total ounces of water = 40 ounces

Other liquids = 30 ounces

Notes/Comments:

I was in my car for about 6 hours today so I had a bunch of energy bars. I was also able to stop by co-ops along the way and get some green salads, some hot foods, etc. I'm still low in fluid intake, but I have to pee so often, it's hard to drink a lot of water while traveling, driving or working. When I'm home, I'll try to increase my fluid intake. Today I had a lot of veggies, greens, grains, etc. and pretty much no breads and oils like I did the first day.

Tomorrow I plan on being in the car a lot as well, so we might see a similar day.

I enjoyed a long dinner with andesuma tonight. That was cool, and the food from Blossoming Lotus was Great as usual.

I saw that you upped your protein intake by 25% though from the day before, not bad Roberto, not bad at all. ;)

Notes/Comments:

I'm back to my good ol' meal frequency. I ate at 12 separate times today :)

Today was lot of greens, bananas, Clif bars and then finished strong with Vega.

I normally don't eat much soy at all, but as I've been keeping track of food intake, I wanted to keep protein high, so 3 builders bars a day add 60g protein to my total.

Still not much liquid in at all! But I had to pee every 20 minutes it seemed! Frustrating stuff! I'll work on taking in more fluids on Friday.

It's about 2AM so I better get some sleep now.

Notes/Comments:

I slept in big time today so it set my schedule off a bit. Today I drank more water than any other day so far. So that was a good thing. I didn't eat a whole lot of variety today so I need to focus on that for tomorrow.

My late start cut out a good 3 or 4 hours of eating from my day which made it hard for me to hit my goal totals. I stayed up until after 1AM eating to up my daily numbers. I don't know if that is good or bad (since I should be sleeping) but it shows a certain level of dedication I guess.

You're doing fine Robert, you've eaten more in the past 3 - 4 days then the whole time I hung out with you at Vegan Vacation, so you're doing all right. :)

yeah man, I didn't even have time to total things up last night, so I'll do that today. I stayed up until after 1AM to keep eating :?

Now I'm heading out but I'll fill out today's journal later on.

Some days I'm eating up to 12 times or more (not meals, but times) :)

Notes/Comments:

I attended a cooking workshop put on by Chef Al Chase www.chefal.org

Great food and good times. I kept myself fairly busy all day with work. Tomorrow I should be training legs so I'll try to get to bed around 1AM or shortly after.

It's fun to see what types of foods I'm eating each day. We never eat what we think we eat when we're really honest with ourselves and really lay it all out there.

How does your body seem to be responding to your current nutrition program? What exactly is your goal, at this time, with your current plan?
