fitness food diary

Hard workout today...I did 20/20/ 20 and spinning

4 laps around the gym then 6 basketball suicides..ouch..followed by walking lunges up and down the lengths of the basketball courts(see post your gym photos for an idea of how much that hurt) After cardio fun we did arms focused on triceps and chest today 4 sets of chest presses and flies on the ball( in a freakin row) plus we did pulsing on the flies...push ups on a stability ball tricep dips ..lunges with flies and pulsing..overhead triceps about two or three sets of the aforementioned...lunges with shoulder presses...then Froggies..I can't explain them very well you kind of sit down put your hands on your feet

and lift your but up and down...does not sound like much but it burns.....

then spin! Endurance and interval...I did not have the resistance up too high because of knee issues...but I got a good workout

 

My camera did not work this morning so I did not snap a photo but it was the same breakfast as before light vanilla soy milk..peanut butter banana English muffin

 

I ate a nature valley granola bar( see yesterdays picture) at the gym... I felt weird taking a picture there...I thought it would help up my energy in spin..but it did not I did not have time to digest it before spin...I'm thinking low calorie Gatorade next time....

 

My camera started working at lunch so I snapped a pic of this..4 slices of smart deli vegan slices and a slice of vegan cheese also some lettuce and tomato inside...It did not all fit..I have wrap problems...the wrap is a carb balance tortilla...cherries carrot sticks and hummus

I woke up from a nap and I wanted something salty... I did not eat the whole can...there were a few left in the bottom that I scarfed...yeah for carbs

since I devoured so many carbs at lunch I decided to eat a salad for dinner... a big salad...on top are morningstar- vegan chikn strips and light asian sesame dressing plus strawberries...I have to finish them they have been in my fridge too long

I had a few of these throughout the day... I am having problems with my throat and they feel so good when I eat them.. I ate way to many though.... I also finished off the rest of the cinnamon soy crisps before dinner I forgot to take a picture...I ate soo late tonight

yeah tommorow I am taking a picture no matter where I am ..no matter what I put in my mouth...my camera being messed up gave me liscence to bingej(':oops:)

Workout...I decided to take a break from spinning I did 30 minutes of abs 30 min on the elliptical and one hour of yoga....very nice relaxing workout...

lol, what your boyfriend eats? does he eats fruits and vegetables sometimes? is he vegan too?

 

You can see part of his salad in the background ...he eats vegetables but his idea of fruit is a mixed fruit cup by dole....He is a lacto ovo vegetarian.He drinks soymilk though. It's a start when we met he was an omni.

Sounds okay to me, a lot of people start out where your boyfriend is. It takes time to break old food habits and open up to exploring good food. I never ate vegetables growing, so ended up a cheese-a-tarian for the first two years. When I decided to go vegan, I was determined to like vegetables. Now 20 years later I can't imagine a day without them, I'll eat all I can get.

He's making a good choice and a great thing for his life and others. It's great that you inspired him this.

Workout...spinning...I did not push myself at all today..I woke up late and my breakfast made me nauseous during cardio...I walked all around work today which probabaly burns alot of calories but does not do much for my muscle tone

Lunch ah vegan sushi with my favorite healthy fat avocado...this was wonderful...I ate half the fruit salad at lunch and the other half a few hours later

Dinner...I was too lazy to cook so I made a vegan wrap with smart deli slices and one slice of vegan cheese and of course cherries!!! ( I spent 15 minutes picking out the perfect bag of cherries at publix)

No real workout today...again a day of painting...I did try out the tennis court at my new place...that was fun...turns out I suck at tennis...but it was fun

omg...I have been terrible with recording my food and exercise......I have been busy and stressed arrg...anyway here goes a shot at the blog again...

Monday... I did hard bodies and spinning.... oh boy..we did lots of shoulders and biceps and Romanian deadliflts for the legs...then we did alot of balance exercises on the ball which I failed at...completely..I rolled off that thing soo many times...need to work o the balance...My spin teacher got re certified so spin was totally different this time...it rocked...tuesday was spin...endurance.. it was great I sweated alot. Today I woke up late and missed my am exercise class than never ended up going...oops. Tomorrow is another day...

ugh....fell of the wagon again...weekends are busy for me my boyfriend is home and we are renovating our new condo....

 

Workouts

Friday: none

saturday: 55 min spin 40 minutes abs and weights... I did two sets of fifteen squats with shoulder presses then biceps both with 20 pulses. I did 2 sets of 25 chest presses and flys and overhead tricep dips on a ball. I did about 40 pushups on the ball and something I don't know what they are called ...you put your leg on the ball kick in and out....inverted jackknife...whatever... then some regular , oblique and on the ball crunchess totaled 100

yes awesomne workout..

 

Sunday..none... I went to a party Saturday and got home at 3 am...oops... the cops broke the party up and I was running in 4 in stilettos to my car ...LOL...it sounds bad but it really wasn't...I never go to parties and my boyfriend was miffed... I did not even drink...WTF

I did not eat a formal dinner... dinner was a binge consisting of a couple scoops of soy ice cream and some random fruit

MY computer broke ....I have to use brians computer and he said no uploading...boo hiss....

I did hardbodies yesterday...all arms...zip ups chest presses shoulder flyes and pushups and tricep dips for 45 min. cardio was 4 laps around the gym and 6 suicides plus 30 min on the ellipticals and 10 on the treadmill....my shins started to hurt so I stopped.

I woke up late again...I have been beat lately ......anyway I did spin and sculpt today 45 minutes of spin then 30 minutes using bands to sculpt. I really don't like the bands but I have heard that your muscles cannot tell the difference....Is that true??

My computer is still broken.....my workout today was great..we started with 12 min of cardio..running laps then doing various cardio drills around the gym..nonstop I was sweating profusely after only 12 min....Legs today lots of squats 4 sets of regular and jump...then one leg up on the step 4 sets with pulses then jumping up and over the step..strapped on the ankle weights for leg lifts followed by resistance band work with the inner thighs....4 minutes of leg lifts (arrg) all it took was one hour...I have never been so sweaty...the cursing guy gym instructor taught the class......when we first got in he said we are gonna do alot of ass work today...oh boy...oh well he is a really good teacher.

workout: Hardbodies...chest shoulders triceps...we began with a series of pushups. Regular..holding a pilates ball and on the step. We also did diamond pushups, leg on the ball pushups and tricep pushups on the ball. we did shoulder presses and flys chest presses, some standing some on the ball. Then I did spin 40 minutes at maximum resistance ouch.

lunch: amys frozen meals tofu and brown rice

20/20/20

 

fun workout to day....very tough cardio we jump roped for 3 min

then did laps around the exercise studio followed by one minute stations of

jumping jacks and other plyometrics then 20 minutes of strength rows, flyes curls....I was drenched. Then 20 minutes of abs. I fudged this part because I had other things on my mind.

 

 

what I ate

peanut butter English muffin banana light vanilla soy milk

1 cup cherries

vegan wrap 2 deli slices and vegan cheese

1 cup raspberries

carrot sticks and hummus

dinner: 1 cup grapes Buddhas delight(stir fry tofu mixed veggies)

I also had some white rice and veggie lo mien...about a cup altogether

Both my cats have earmites and my boyfriend has something wrong with his neck....I spent the night at the 24 hour vet and the day at the urgent care...and running his errands.

 

I did not work out

I ate a bunch of crap... darn

today will be better

Aww when I worked at a vet clinic I always dreaded flushing cat's ears. They hated it. Kittens were the toughest because they squirm so much and I was always afraid of hurting the kitten when holding it. Earmites are easily treated, but not fun at all.

I hope your boyfriend and your kitties feel better soon!

F yea!!....and I did spinning after that;)

lunch: luna bar 1/2 cup grapes ( not by choice it was the only thing I had time for

snack: 1 whole mango

1/2 cup blueberries
