NOTE:

When I pump iron. I take longer on the return stroke than I do on the power stroke. Sometimes as much as twice as long. As I heard it put once "combing the muscle". Which doesn't facilitate the use of heavier weights, as form and control are paramount to my workout.

I quess this is an excuse.

I think this is good for a change but not necessary for every session, just like throwing in some supersets or high reps/low weights every so often. Don't you feel the need to lift some heavy weights now?

 

How's your food intake these days? And have you taken over the fridge yet? Or do you still only have one shelf in the kitchen?

Besides destroying my ego, lifting max weight can only align me for injury. which will keep me out of the gym alot longer than my desire, or should I say lack of desire.

What's wrong with my happy little shelf? LOL Nothing is misplaced, unless I misplace it.

Well, nothing is WRONG with your little shelf. I just think you should have some space in the fridge as well! Like, maybe half of it.

 

I've been around but not much. We only see the sun for 3 months in Portland so I'm outside as much as possible these days!

I have my freezer and fridge shelves as well, just not so defined.

Going sailing as much as I can at the moment, averaging 2 twice a week.

Sailing? I love the idea of sailing, so long as I don't have to do any of the work. My husband had a boat when we met. It was like:

 

Make picnic lunch

Drive to marina and do 1/2 hour prep

Ride over very bumpy water to Long Island Sound

Try to avoid other boats

Anchor in sound and yell at other bigger boaters who are drifting into you while they're drinking

Put foot in water, pull back because it's COLD and smells weird

Go back home over bumpy water

Do 1 hour clean-up

 

That lasted about 1 summer for me!

Totally agree. I want to go sailing with Joe's family in CA. I bet that if I agreed to bring the food then they wouldn't make me clean the boat afterwards.
