Six Months To Go
My goal is to loose all or at least most of my excess bodyfat by July 1st
I'm guessing about 50 pounds or 4-5 inches
This is how I will do it: Clean diet and lots of treadmill miles.
Try to ride the treadmill at least 10 hours per week.
There will be a little weight training as well.
My Diet:
Mostly Veggies and Fruits, some nuts and seeds.
Greens Smoothies and Fresh Juice.
4 quarts of fluids per day, either juice or filtered water.
My Goal:
To wear my Levi 501 jeans that I still have from Hi School.

Re: September is for Juicing
Hey that's great ! For how long you want to do the juicing and diet ? Juicing is great but whole foods too. A diet consisting of only raw fruits and greens is to me the healthiest and best way to lose weight. Eat enough to have energy for training. You can read Lean & Green journal and mine, we did a diet of juicing a few weeks ago.

Re: September is for Juicing
Aside from the obvious ones (carrots, beets, apples) I like to juice kohlrabbi, brussel sprouts, broccoli, rutabaga, turnips, among other things. I've tried onions and garlic too and it was nasty. I think you can have a little of them though. I hear people are juicing sprouts too.

Isn't every day for juicing???

The devotion of thought to an honest achievement makes the achievement possible.

I've wondered about broccoli and was going to try it.
I'm sure the onion and garlic juice is nastier than it sounds
I'll save the onions for soup and the garlic for hummus

I want to make it that way
After I bought my juicer I used it for a while, then it did more dust collecting that actual juicing

Re: Time to get moving again.
Well after a couple months of laziness, I'm finally getting off my butt.
Going to the gym more regularly lately.
My right should has been really bothering my for a while, so I haven't been lifting much.
It's feeling better and I've been doing light weights.
Breakfast: 2 bananas
Morning Inclined Treadmill: 60 minutes
Eats: Raisins, ABC Juice, more juice
Workout: 10 facing wall squats, 10 goblet squats, 10 overhead squats
2 bananas and 40 minutes on the inclined treadmill

Re: Time to get moving again.
I went to a " Lift " class at the gym last night. Not what I expected.
I knew it would be different when I arrived.
15 women and 1 other guy.
Non stop moving with light weights and a rubber hose with handles on each end.
I'm glad I only picked a 40 pound barbell.

Re: Six Months To Go
Saturday
Big bowl of mixed fruit for breakfast
1 hour on the treadmill
2 oranges for lunch
Made 3 quarts of fresh juice.
Carrot, spinach, apple, beet and one cucumber
I don't like cucumbers, I hoped it wouldn't ruin the juice.
This is the 2nd time that I've juiced leafy greens.
Probably the last, I'll stick to green smoothies.
Exercise:
Facing wall squats, toes 4 inches from wall
Front Squats
Overhead Squats
Another big bowl of fruit.
40 minutes on the treadmill
Handful of cashews
My 3rd quart of juice for the day.
Sunday
Banana, blueberry, vega smoothie for breakfast
1 hour on the treadmill
Noon snack of a Lara bar
A little bit of crackers and hummus (junk)
2 oranges
Green Smoothie
Exercise: Bench Press

Green is from the spinach. Purple is from the blueberries.
Still working on losing that first inch. Then I'll work on the rest.
