xlucasx
Hello everybody, I live in Europe and we use a different unit for weight, kilograms (kg), which leaves me puzzled how to interpret the lbs mentioned in the various threads I encounter on this forum. How exactly should I convert these units properly to and fro? Bye,Luke
jonathan
1kg equals 2.2lb. the best thing to do is find an online converter on google. just type in metric converter and you should get what you need. jonathan

michaelhobson
I think America should just switch to metric! i agree - imperial is silly Completely silly! We spent tens of millions of dollars on the conversion in the 1970's. We converted all the highway signs to metric, food containers at the supermarket etc. Everything had imperial and metric listed for a while, then it was abandoned. They spent tens of millions more switching everything back. It was decided that Americans were too stupid to make the switch. We may not be known for being the brightest people in the world, but certainly we can handle metrics!!!!!
Richard
imperial is simple. Look: 1 inch = eight 8ths of an inch1 foot = 16 & 1/2 fahrenheit1 yard = 18 hectares1 mile = 621 yards (unless the mile is sideways)1 pound = 36 beans or 42 small beans1 pint = 50 bean juice1 tonne = half a gorilla

SeaSiren
Yeah but how much is a big stone? The scale weight would remain the same however, the percentage of fat vs. muscle may vary.
