Everything is still awesome!

Here is a note:

Hey everyone,

I didn't want to have to write this request for loans, but producing a documentary is very expensive and it has been challenging for me to fully fund the production of Vegan Brothers in Iron (http://www.veganbrothersiniron.com) on my own, which I have been doing for months. I've been using 100% of my income, credit cards, etc. to go towards this project. Everything I earn from Vega, Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness, and my speaking tour goes right back into this project, producing Vegan Brothers in Iron, the documentary.

It is very expensive, especially this project, which is so much more in depth and a much larger production than my last documentary Vegan Fitness Built Naturally, which has moved 3,000 copies and changed many lives. We're filming in at least 5 major cities and have a budget 3 times the size of my last documentary. We're also filming for more than four months, whereas my last documentary was all shot in just about a week!

I wholeheartedly believe this will be one of the best vegan documentaries to come out. We've put so much heart and effort into this production and I have exhausted all of my resources. That is why I am now asking for some assistance in the form of loans. I have also exhausted myself, working around the clock filming, fundraising, working, traveling and speaking promoting this project that means the world to me.

We are not accepting any loans more than $1000.00 because we want to be able to pay them back in a timely manner. All loans will be paid back with a 10% interest within 6 months. The majority of the production expenses will be paid within the next 4-5 weeks. We don't actually have our trip to Phoenix to compete covered yet because of all the production expenses on equipment, etc. up to this point. So now I'm working on additional ways to generate income. Giacomo Marchese, who is featured in the documentary has been helping significantly with his http://www.veganproteins.com website and Jimi Sitko who is also featured has been contributing to the fundraising. I have been working diligently to take on the bulk of the fundraising responsibility and ultimately, I am the one funding the entire project.

If you are interested in supporting us as we move forward, here is how it works:

All loans will be paid back within 6 months, though likely within 3-4 months and will have 10% interest included. If $1000.00 is borrowed, $1100.00 will be paid back. If $200.00 is borrowed, $220.00 will be paid back. You get the idea.

Each person who loans money for our production will be included in the credits of the documentary for their role in helping us fundraise.

Each person providing a loan over $100.00 will receive 10 FREE DVDS when the documentary comes out ($200.00 retail value) to have to re-sell, give away as gifts and keep as a thank-you from us.

I will also throw in a free Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness t-shirt (styles and sizes based on current inventory) with any loan over $100.00

To provide a loan, please contact me via email at [email protected] or via private message within this forum.

We have come so far and are so close and we're seeking out additional help to cover costs of production and travel to our competition which is only 4.5 weeks away!

I personally haven't missed a workout in 3 months and have been training harder than ever before in my life and I am in my best ever shape. Giacomo and Jimi are training incredibly hard as well and we plan to make a serious impact for veganism this April in Arizona.

Loans can be made to my paypal account at [email protected] (note the er ending) for immediate access since I am on the road a lot over the next few weeks, or mailed to:

Robert Cheeke

6103 NE 6th Ave

Portland, OR 97211

Thank you so much in advance. Thank you for helping us make this happen and change the lives of many and save the lives of many more.

To learn more about our documentary please visit:

http://www.veganbrothersiniron.com, a website that will be evolving as the weeks go on and will have more teaser videos, bios, updated photos and more information about this website.

Lots of photos, videos and information can also be found within the http://www.veganbodybuilding.com forum, starting with this link here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=17006

Thank you for helping me change the world! All the best!

Sincerely,

Robert Cheeke, Co-Producer, Co-Director, Vegan Brothers in Iron - The documentary

Excited about a forum gathering in DC tonight at Java Green at 6:30PM and then super excited to see VeganPotter tonight in Maryland before returning home!

Yeah Buddy!

Good times.

I also look forward to returning home, getting a new harddrive and uploading some photos and videos from my travels.

Great times out here on this East Coast swing.

P.S. Google Ads are back and I'll work on filtering them to make them more "vegan" so hang in there.

I just got off the phone with the organizer of the local natural bodybuilding competition Lean and Green and I are planning on competing in as a warm-up to our showdown in the desert with Octopussior April 25th in Phoenix......anyway, he said the turnout is pretty low for the Portland show this Saturday April 11th and runs the risk of being canceled. He'll let me know for sure on Monday or Tuesday.

So they are looking for more athletes...men, women, bodybuilding, figure, bikini, etc.

I know I am posting this all over the forum but it is a Big Announcement and is timely!

Lean and Green and I compete together, head to head on Saturday!!!

This is a warm-up competition to the showdown with Octopussoir on April 25th in Phoenix, AZ!

Here are the details:

Anyone who comes to support us gets a FREE Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness shirt, likely other free things too now that Lean and Green is running http://www.veganproteins.com and I always have my hands full of Vega, ProBar, etc.

PLEASE come out and support us!

This is the RETURN TO THE STAGE for both of us! For me it has been 2 years and for Lean and Green is has been about 8 years.

The show will be very small, not that many competitors at all. In fact, I already know from talking to the President of the INBA that in one category there will just be 4 of us (lean and green and I plus two others) and in another category it could be only Lean and Green and Me head to head!

We'll come home with some hardware and we look forward to it!

Please come join us and bring your camera, you'll get a VBB shirt when you arrive so you can wear it during the contest...I'll give them to a forum member to distribute, etc.

I'm off to Bend, OR this weekend for my 3rd contest in 4 weeks!

I'm looking for someone to take over the Online Muscle Competitions. Anyone interested?

See the Photos section for more details.

Also, thanks for welcoming new members!

I love to see people welcome new members and I'm bummed when I see that new members don't get welcomed.

So thanks in advance for showing some love to our new homies.

RC

P.S. Me and my sister in AZ last weekend:

I'm starting to "live" again and it's awesome!

I spent so long working so much and I'm finally slowing down a bit, saying no to projects and starting to see friends again, sit still for a few minutes again, relax again and get back to "life" again.

I have had an incredible past couple of years with amazing levels of productivity but there was more stress than I would have liked....so now I'm "living" again and it feels pretty awesome!

In the near future I'll be hanging out with friends, playing poker, watching movies, spending time with family, talking to my roomates and all the things I haven't been doing because I worked 3-5 jobs and had to be busy every minute of the day.

I'm still going to work very hard and in fact I will be even more productive, but I have decided to live again and I look forward to it!

Thanks. Lately, I've really been enjoying things! I think the person who has probably witnessed that the most is my roommate Jessifly. Not that she has said anything but I bet she has observed my behavior to be much more content with life.

In fact, I literally took time out to smell flowers recently so I am considering that.

I know how to enjoy life but I also know that so many are counting on me to be able to enjoy their lives (animals). So I have to keep myself busy to make better lives for others and that gives me fulfillment that is greater than anything I could do for myself for my own enjoyment. To me, fulfillment is greater than enjoyment, though they can be experienced simultaneously which I am learning how to do

Thanks!

Back in action!

Look at what we have parked out back

Randy says he doesn't want to have anything to do with the PT

He grabbed a beer and stop sanding on the patch... "You watch Nescar?" "Yeah Jeff Gordon eh?"

"Hey Bern get me a beer would ya?"

"I can do what ever I want."

"These are my G*D D** N Carpets anyways."

Randy also showed me how to do an oil change. I did it Dry, got my hands dirty under my car

I can now officially do oil changes. Even on your car.

Wash just got home from work. Late one eh? almost 1:30am here.

I'll be back in L.A. so all will be good in my world

I'll be speaking at WorldFest on Saturday. Come check it out!

http://www.worldfestevents.com/

We're still doing a Vegan Vacation in L.A. during the Animal Rights Conference coming up in July. I don't know what our turnout will be like, but I'll be there for sure and 800 other vegans will be in the house for 4 days so I'm looking forward to it
