Friday

Got to the gym and discovered I had forgotten some of my gym clothes.

Went in the Sauna and Steam Room instead.

 

Saturday.

Played Rugby, a good game but got a corked calf muscle, which occured when someone stood on my leg, followed by someone falling on my leg.

 

Sunday - Normally Sunday is leg day but not this week due to the corked calf. Will have to miss legs and running for a week until it heals

Wednesday,

Didn't train today as I'm a bit under the weather.

Have a cold/flu thing so aches and pains and headache etc.

Got glucose and other blood tests done (To check for insulin resistance)

and Fainted... All a bit embarassing, it has never happened to me before.

It wasn't the Pain, blood or needles (I have had over 20 hours of tattooing done!)

Before I knew it, my eyes rolled back in my head, and bang... Oh well.

Hey mate, I hope you're feeling better soon.

 

Last time I had blood taken I felt like I was going to faint. As soon as I see my own blood I start feeling light headed, but I'm fine being on the other side of things, which is good considering that I'm a nurse.. People think I'm weird because I can sit and watch the surgery on RPA while I eat my dinner.

She was pretty quick, she pushed me back into the chair, she probably had visions of being trapped on the floor, squished underneath me,

Thursday - Still no training, be it gym, Rugby or other

I've definitely got a flu of some description, dammit!

I'm really pissed off, as my immune system has finally given in to it.

I use public transport every day and I watch people coughing and sneezing around me... The sun glinting of the drops of pestilence as they float through the air, I think it was only a matter of time before I picked up something...

Combined with that are the people who have been coming to work sick! I work for a government department, where we get 15! paid sick days per year... I mean honestly, GO HOME people...

Trying to eat well and keep the nutrients coming in, but finding it a little tricky as I have no appetite...

Guess I won't get fat... Ah, Silver linings...

I'm always one of those people that goes back to the gym too early, and then stays sick longer than I have too, so I'm going to try and not do that this time

Thursday - No training, but I spent time in the steam room trying to kick this flu thing.

It's almost gone, except I have sinusitis on the right side of my face... Man it sucks the whole side of my face is sore to the touch, and over my cheek bone and under my eye is worse... Hopefully I can steam this little sucker out in the next few days

Thursday Night - Rugby Training.

Was it cold - yup

Was it wet - yup

Was it dark - yup

Did it start to rain - yup

Was it good, Yeah it was actually...

I wasn't sure how I would go, as it is the first training session back from being sick, but a part from being a little out of breath due to my lungs and a bit of a cough, I was fine and haven't lost too much fitness

Saturday - Played Rugby

We played a team who we have beaten twice already and you could tell they were determined to win. When we were leading 10-0 at half time, they decide to try and rattle us by trying to start a fight on every play and resorting to dirty and illegal play. To my teams credit, we played the game and ended up winning 10-5. Even after the game the opposition were making unsportsman like comments. I can't wait until we play and beat them again!

 

Sunday

I didn't train but went to watch the Australian Nationals in power lifting. Some Massive weights being lifted, it was awesome. Great to see hannibal as well, who was up from Melbourne... I must admit, I'm getting a bit interested in this powerlifting thing nothing like watching people squat 350kg (Equipped) to act as a bit of inspiration.

Just wasn't there today, my lower back didn't feel that strong. I was going to try and max out, but after the 180kg, and toying around with 200kg, I decided to give it a miss

Saturday

Played Rugby

Game was a bit of a cast of thousands event, but it was a good game.

We one 48-0 which was fun.

Scored my first try which was awesome (My position doesn't get to score tries very often)

The other team commented how big I was, and one of my Team mates yells, "He's a vegan"

Not sure if I like the sentiment behind it, but great to smash sterotypes.
