so busy with work lately....

yesterday was my upperbody day with my trainer.

wide lat pull downs 65lb x 15, 55 x 10, 45 x 10, ( x's 2) under hand lat pull down 601b x 15, 50x 10, 40 x 10 ( x's 2)

bench press 65lb x 12, 55 x8, 45 x 8 ( x's 2)

flys 40 x 10, 30 x 10, 20 x 10 ( x's 2)

hanging knee raises 15 x 2 (x's 2)

bench dips 12 x 2

shoulder press 50 x's 15, 40 x 8, 30 x 8 25 x8 (x's 2)

tricep pull downs rope 55 x 10, 45 x 10, 35 x10, 25 x 10 ( x's 2)

curls 40 x 15, 35 x 15, 30 x 10, 25 x 8, 15 x 8 & short pumps (x's 2)

pull ups x 8 (x 2)

tri kick backs 25lb both sides as many as i can until it burns

abs reclined bench

sit ups & reverse crunch

50 mins cardio

great workout today

despite my challenges with my hurting knee ( need to get it checked out asap!)

lower body workout- with my trainer

legs-glutes- hammies & abs

 

soy latte, protein green drink shake, avo & greens sandwich, banana ( 2nd latte on my way to a meeting- argh!!! )

I didnt eat much today....

 

Im going to focus on upping my cardio- wanting to lean out by may- june!!! going to Fiji & wanting to look great in my bikini on the beach!

I had great workout today!!! I was updating my itunes yesterday and grabbed some good upbeat tunes! yay!

So I had dancing spurts in between my workout-weights- a few heads were turning --lol

upper body workout- really had my arms pumped & tight today!

lots of abs too!

YES Yes! got to sleep into today until 9:30....oh baby! Im always up at 7 am on weekdays, then at the gym at 8:30.

Im feeling pretty sore today in my chest & triceps owie........... feels good!

I worked out my abs a bit today with my friend, he couldnt keep up with me- gotta love that!

Loved the weather today- sun out & warm... spent time working in the yard.

Im feeling like I need to do some cardio tonight on my treadmill....ok ok going to happen!

 

soy latte & agave

1 toast

1 banana

1/2 apple & pbutter

2 rice dolmas

 

salad, baby romaine, cucumber, tomato, carrot, garbanzo beans spiced with chipolte - lemon & flax oil.

1/2 yukon gold potato with lemon

Long hike today in the woods- it was beautiful! took some photos of some amazing mushrooms.

The hike was the only physical thing I did today.

 

soy latte

1 sprouted toast

1/2 banana

lrg salad (lots of veggies) with 3 corn tortillas

cooked carrots,& onion, potato.

Today ended up be a better day than expected-! yay

My kids are out of school this week , so I slept in until 9- then went to the gym.

I worked out with my trainer today! and I felt like she really worked me today Also Im happy about one of my friends coming to the gym, It will be great to work out with her.

 

I had a busy day but had time to take a few photos. It is so green this time of year & beautiful!

Upper body work out & abs, cardio.

I really am having a tough time with my cardio lately, because my knee isnt liking it much. what to do????? help

Good workout today, I worked with my personal trainer today.

We worked legs, hammies, glutes & lower back & abs. Still taking it easy on my right knee- argh!! I need to make an appoinment to get it checked out. I went for a nice long hike today, Steep hills & I was feeling it!

My knee was hurting tonight at work- while I was doing my cooking demo

Im looking forward to the day ahead- spending time with my daughter celebrating her upcoming 12th birthday.

 

Todays food intake:

soy latte

sprouted toast

protein shake green drink

salad with lots of mache greens, flax & lemon.

1/2 pb & j

red quinoa With nutritional yeast

beet slaw salad raw

chai soy latte

Seems like you should be backing off of that knee more and concentrating on some upper or abs to give it some rest.

Congrats on the Daughter B-Day, I always see it as a mother's birthday too.

Our Granddaughter will turn 13 at the end of this month.

 

I think your right about the knee situation Vegan Joe- thanks for the input.

Congrats about your grand daughter- it's a fun age.

 

We had a great day, spending time together- caught a movie and enjoyed some amazing food at a local vegan buddhist monastery restaurant.

 

Vegan Joe- I like your Merton quote, I have been a fan of his for years, reading all his journals... I love the New seeds of contemplation book the most-I appreciate his eastern mind set.

I had a good weekend with my daughter, as well as seeing Neal Barnard speak & work.

I went to the chiropractor yesterday, what a great adjustment!!

My neck was out, my back my knee & on & on.

My lower back & knee are still sore today from the adjustment.

I took a break today & yesterday on lower back & abs exercises.

I worked out with my trainer today upper body & arms.

lat pull downs, bench press, flys, tricep dips & pull down, biceps, shoulder press , pull ups

It is frustrating not being able to work out harder even walking today on the treadmill was painful

my knee adjustment yesterday was super painful! She said if my knee is making a crunchy sound whenI bend it like sand that it is arthritis. Has anyone heard this before?

 

today's diet

soy latte

vega drink

sunflower sprouts salad

italian noodles with summer squash & lots of garlic!!!

tiny piece of vegan left over bday cake

going to have a baked potato for dinner with more sunflower sprouts ( i just love them with lemon )

Great workout yesterday! worked with my trainer.

We mixed it up because of my knee,which is feeling a bit better after my adjustment.

 

Today I focused on abs today, I wanted to go for a hike but it was a rainy day.

I was in the kitchen this morning making my soy latte, I picked up a knife ( large santuko one) dropped it and sliced my leg open! ouch.

I dislike hospitals- I need stiches but thinking thta maybe I can get by with a butterfly bandage?

I hope I can still take my hike today!!
