I've made huge improvements in my lifts, and I wish I had a way to take photos of my legs, because the biggest gains have probably been there - I started out with those unmistakeable marathoner's legs

I think this is not bad for a 2-month period (1 month of P90X, 1 month of StrongLifts which is what I'm sticking with from here on in!).

Keep it up man, if you steadily add mass every month you'll get really strong on stronglifts. Let's see that 1.5x bodyweight squat!! Yeah buddy!

EDIT: forgot to mention, even if you don't post them up here take progress pics of your legs! i never done this till recently and regretted it

I'm gonna get up to those 1.5xBW squats asap! I know I should be taking leg progress photos, it's just that I have a mac so my webcam is built into the screen, and I don't have a digital camera, so I'm not sure how to get it done...but I should figure out a way! I've definitely made more gains in my legs than anywhere else so far.

Are you able to film yourself with the mac camera posing, then take paused screen captures? If you see what I'm saying.

Maybe post the latest pics along side the starting ones so you can spot the gains easier!

Keep up the good work!

Hmm, screen caps would probably work better than trying to line up angles with my back turned like I am now...haha. But you have a good idea about posting comparisons...in fact, I'm about to do just that!

Hmm...what can 2 more months of Stronglifts do? How about 9 pounds of bodyweight, 90 lbs on my deadlift, 60 lbs on my squat, 15 lbs on my bench, and 15 lbs on my overhead press? Or how about doing dips with a 35 lb plate on the belt for the same reps as I was doing at bodyweight? Here are the photos to go along with those strength gains...

I can really tell how much my core muscles/back muscles have hypertrophied from all these squats, deads, presses and rows! And my arms have developed far more than I was expecting given the relative lack of focus the program has on them. My neck and traps are definitely coming along as well.

Thanks! I've recently dropped the squat weight 10-15% to concentrate on form and speed (I realized I was going WAY too slow with my reps). I'm working my way up and hope to get that 1.5X bodyweight squat before too long! The deadlifts are definitely my favourite though...nothing like being the smallest guy at the racks but pulling 2 full plates on each end!

nice progress medman! keep up your log! how much would you say you eat a day?

Yes, I'll have to update the log soon! I've been working on form recently so there haven't been as many weight increases lately.

As for how much I eat...I basically eat constantly. Every few hours, until I'm as full as I can get. I don't keep track of calories...when I work out, my hunger goes up like mad so I just let my body let me know how much I should be eating! Never let a hunger pang go unfed is my bulking motto. And so far, it looks like it's giving me good results without any significant increase in body fat (I have fat calipers and have been somewhere around 15% for the past few months, which I consider fine for bulking). I'm debating at which point I'll want to start cutting, but right now I'm having such an easy time building muscle that I don't want to change anything!

Took these a week or two ago and forgot to post them - this is me at around 137 lbs. Over the summer, I wasn't able to squat or deadlift much due to a hip injury, so I focused on my upper body lifts, and worked on improving my body composition while maintaining a stable weight. Because my weight wasn't changing much, I figured there would be much of a change...but comparing them to my last set, I definitely see some improvements, like in the width of my back.

Now I'm off to the gym! Got some more PRs I need to crush...

Thanks guys!! I'm closing in on 140, which was something I never thought I could achieve before I found this forum. Chewy, your SL log was what inspired me to start the program 6 months ago, and it's hard to believe how far I've come with it! 260 lb 1x5 deadlift and 210 lb 5x5 squat at 140 lbs, and I was 110 lbs not so long ago when I first found this forum!

Just a quick update to show you all that I'm still alive.

80-hour work weeks + studying for exams + trying to have a life = going to the gym a bit less than I'd like (twice a week usually). I basically had 6 months from September-March where I made no progress due to an injury and subsequent rehab/reconditioning, but I'm back to full health and hitting PRs again. Working on upping the cardio - want to drop some body fat.

In any case, here is some progress combined with ridiculous faces. My back has definitely widened a bit and I've gained some mass pretty evenly throughout...

For comparison's sake, here I am about 18 months ago:
