I beginning to worry, your a stranger in a strange town and you abruptly stopped communicating with your cyber friends. Should we notify authorities of a missing person? :(

Hope everything is okay and that you had a nice visit with your husband. Have you found out anything about your knee? Hopefully it's nothing serious and you will still be able to do your marathon on Oct. 31.

Leave her alone, everybody: if her hubby was out of town for a while, they have some things to...um...catch up on. (Wink, wink!)

Haha Herc!!!!

I certainly didn't mean to worry anyone! My husband was in town for a few days and then my parents came for a visit and now I have been working very long days to make up for some time off.

I haven't been working out much but I have done a lot of walking and my knee is still screwy, waiting to get in to see a specialist. I think the marathon is scrapped for Oct. 31st.

Which is actually for the best I think because I GROSSLY underestimated how stressful all of this moving stuff would be. Now trying to coordinate my move from here to California and my husband's move from home to California. We put in an application on an apartment - fingers crossed!

I think right now I need to give my body a bit of a break, work out when I can, and plan for an early spring marathon.

Not sure how much I will be around the forum the next couple of weeks...really, really really can't wait to be moved permanently and settled so life can get back to normal!

Sorry to hear about the knee and all of the stress. there will always be marathons so no worries there! Good luck with the apartment.

Thanks! Yeah, there is a marathon in Napa Valley in early March I have my eye on...I've always wanted to go there!

lobster, sorry your knee is acting up. I think that's such a good plan of action though. Have you tried easy biking or swimming to see how that affects it?

good luck on the apartment

Yay! We now have an apartment. Downtown San Jose. Oct 4th. So pumped.

My pool membership ran out and I didn't renew it for September. I hate the pool here so much. I haven't had much time for cycling lately since I had so many visitors, but I plan on taking my bike out this weekend. I'm not going to do those crazy hills, figure I'll just spin along a relatively flat trail.

Been stretching out my IT band a few times a day, things are starting to feel better. I'm curious about running on it but I think I had best leave it alone for awhile.

Glad you're back and well! foam roll the hell outta your IT band.

Went to the gym to life yesterday after work...did a few sets of squats and ended up feeling really dizzy and light headed. Sat down for a bit, tried to do some benching, but still felt like garbage. Stretched out my IT band and used the foam roller and then came home.

My diet lately has been crap. Need to work on that.

Really, really can't wait to move and finally get a stable routine going again. Looking back, the times where I have done the best with diet and training is when I have a set routine. Oh well, only 3 more weeks! I can definitely hang in there for that long.

You were remembering to breathe? A lot of times I see folks do a lift & hold their breath & don't even realize they are doing it.
