Re: Any thoughts about a future Vegan Vacation?
To be honest, and tons of people know this, I have met many of my best friends via the Vegan Vacation!
That one year we had 27 forum members from 5 countries staying in a 3-story beach house on the Oregon Coast is where I keep so many fond memories.
So glad to see there is a strong interest in this again!
We did so many cool and worthwhile things during the 3 years we had the Vegan Vacation going! From outreach events, gatherings, trips, amusement park adventures, hikes, beach vacations, front page newspaper stories, 75 people at a single gathering, and so much more.
So many friends made, so many memories.......ahhh, the good times!
Glad to see the forum so active these days, including 100 NEW members this week!
Hugs.

As someone who currently resides in Cleveland and really wants to do help organize this voluntarily, the East Coast would be a much better choice.
What time of the year would work best for everyone?

Summer is always best. No doubt about it. July or August has been the time period in the past. Usually about 7 days, with options to extend for a few extra days for those coming from other countries/very far away, etc.

Re: Any thoughts about a future Vegan Vacation?
I am going on a vegan vacation on the 2012 Veggie Wellness Cruise, 8-13 Dec 12, http://www.theforgottenfoods.com/events. I went on the one they had this year to the Bahamas and it was awesome. I didn't hesitate to sign up for the next one. This one is going to the Mayan Peninsula of Mexico and Belize.

Nice!
I'm going on this cruise coming up in 2 months, which is like a Vegan Vacation I don't have to organize and which already has 1000 guests!

I wanted to go on the cruise in March, but couldn't get away from the office during that time frame. I am hoping to make the next one.

I showed their video to my husband and he's way excited, but I don't think we could make it in 2 months. I think he'll want to do the next one for sure!
Have fun on this cruise

If we organized this around L.A.'s Vegan Beer Fest, I could get behind this as I'm making the trek out that way for that. However, that's coming up in May so probably not likely.

Re: Any thoughts about a future Vegan Vacation?
I've never went on vacation. I feel like it's something I need to do.
Re: Any thoughts about a future Vegan Vacation?
May would be ok, but vacays are usually summer.
And vsludge, vacations are a most marvelous thing.
Vegan grub, vegan peeps, lots of workout junkies, could be quite the fun.
