Yea, it looks like a good app, I'm just not keen on using a 3rd party to log in & give my password. You have any pro's and con's to it? Besides being able to access forums and it not bring free?

Well the app itself is written by a third party but it communicates directly with the forum, it doesn't send your login anywhere else. Fwiw your current web browser is also written by a third party.

It makes interacting with supported forums a whole lot easier. Supports topic and pm notifications. Does not have thread search capability.

It used to be quite buggy but it's pretty good now. It's definitely better than using the phpbb interface on a small screen. I find keeping track of subscribed topics easier in tapatalk because it consolidates them and tracks the last post you read.

They used to have a free read only version but I think that's been gone for about a year now.

Most other forums with an Android app are just providing a branded version of tapatalk, which the forum operator pays for.

Okies, I bought it and like it a lot lol. So much easier than opening up FireFox each time & having to zoom in and stuff!

Great. Yeah it's a lot better than trying to use the normal interface through a web browser.

Lol ok, one thing is pissing me off lol. I can't find my own training journal with this app!

It has a "favorites" tab, but doesn't give me the option of adding any particular thread as a favorite, so I can't even add my journal to it in order to find it quickly....

There isn't even a "my threads" tab!

Am I wrong here? Lol arg this is so frustrating lol. If I added a new post everyday in my training journal, it might stay on top of the list of recent threads contributed to, but I like to try to keep things organized by having one post per week in which I edit several times that week.

Do you have a similar issue with it? I'll try to fiddle with it some more, or find a FAQ for it.

I automatically subscribe to all the posts I reply to which I believe is a forum setting (from the web interface).

There used to be a star to click on in the app to subscribe to other threads. That appears to be gone but you can click-hold on a thread from the forum view and choose to subscribe.

Heh, yea, I had just figured out how to subscribe to a thread right after I posted the above arg, by long pressing on it to get the option... But I didn't do it to this one haha so I couldn't find it to reply.. haha I had to wait for you to reply ../facepalm

What would be awesome is an app that logs workouts and automatically synchs with your account. Updating logs on a smartphone kind of sucks and paid apps are out of the question. How is tapatalk? i don't see how it's easier or just can't justify the price for convenience.
