mythil
Pretty much what the topic says. I use a lot of it and was wondering if you can cook it and store it for reheating or just eating later?

Synny667
I don't see why not. But I always cook it as I go
z0rzz
Eat it raw! If you don't like the bland taste though (which is probable), here's what I've seen. A friend of mine frequently cooks hers and then stores it for easy microwaving later. She's been doing this for about a decade now and no visible negative side-effects so far. mythil
Eat it raw! Can't, was advised (quite a lot) to cook it. Even the maker says "Please cook it as it could build up bacteria and fungus"
z0rzz
Hmm. Sorry for the ill-advised advice. The vegans who taught me how to cook often ate their tempeh raw whilst they were seasoning it, hence my suggestion. Tempeh in general doesn't take very long to cook, though. There's been several times where I turned on the stove and threw a slab of it on while I did my morning routine. Although if I reheated it after storing in the fridge, it would lose a lot of the taste I seasoned it with prior.
mrsbadmouth
When I make tempeh bacon, I try to make a double or triple batch to use on sandwiches throughout the week. It might lose it's crispiness a little, but it reheats and tastes fine.
