aww that just made my night! lol That was really nice of you to check in.
I'm holding up about as well as my leg is..which isn't that great. I lifted a moderate weight off the floor this morning (aka a full laundry basket) and felt a twinge. I'm trying to keep positive and productive though...probably doing things I shouldn't, like rearranging furniture.
I'm going to my parents' for the first week of July, I think I'll go see the doctor (our family doctor) while I'm there. In the mean time, I'm probably going back to the gym.

lol! Thanks for the laugh - I needed one. I think you've got a few bro-mances going on in your journal that are more concerning than me, though haha Guys seem rather drawn to you. My boss is the same way, guys man crush on him all the time lol

Thanks for the alert, I will pick out the threats to me on my journal and banish them.

I am a happily married man and I will not succumb to being hit on by any vegan with muscles.

Haha I read that as if it were dripping with sarcasm, but having never met you I figured I should just double check. Sarcasm = good assumption?

Gave in and went to see a doctor today, and my hesitance to go was completely justified. He told me nothing I didn't already know..he literally said 'you're right' to my self-diagnosis. My problem is muscular and therefore he can't know exactly what the problem is. The only good thing that came out of it is a. he gave me the ok to be in the gym working upper body, and b. he gave me a referral to the sports rehab clinic in the city.

Knowing that I can go back into the gym has brightened my mood drastically...I knew being away had me feeling down, but I've only just realized how much. I'm VERY excited to go lift..I'm probably going to go tomorrow, despite having a large list of things to do before leaving for a week.

:D

Going today :D It's very much a small town gym, and I'm told it hasn't changed in several years, but it's got weights and benches and that's about all I need to get my work done. My 2 male friends who were going have kinda stopped, so that's a little disappointing, but really it just means I get to focus more. I'm VERY excited to get back to it.

Had a great time in the gym..I'm trying doing specific muscle groups instead of whole upper body, and I had intended to do back/biceps today but out of pure habit I went to the bench press to start and didn't realize until I was half way through warm up. So today became a chest/triceps day. I did 3 exercises for each, then attempted to do pushups (alternating sets between bosu ball pushups and tricep pushups) to finish, but my arms were going to give out, they just wouldn't stop shaking. I figure that meant I did some solid work :)
Looking forward to tomorrow!

Yes, you guessed right. Shaking arms usually mean that you have been putting the work in and can often be an indicator that you have done more than enough for the day hehe. Good work as well btw!

I still had to try! lol I managed about 15 - 20 push ups total. Couldn't stop laughing when my arms were shaking though, made it harder to focus!

Got in a back/biceps workout yesterday...it was ok. My form didn't feel like where it should be so the workout felt kinda off.
Went in early today to get in a workout with a friend before he went into work. I taught him some shoulder and ab exercises and destroyed my shoulders in the process :) It's still pretty hard for me to do ab work with my leg the way it is, but I did a little bit of everything I was teaching him. Pretty decent workout.

How do you find it training with a guy compared to training with a girl (or training alone)?

Hope you have a great weekend, you have much planned?
