Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness

I'm looking to throw a few "fruit & veggie only" days into my training plan, where I would also avoid or limit really starchy veggies (sweet potatoes, corn, winter squash). My question is, should I also exclude or limit beets and carrots on these days? I find conflicting info on other websites.

I think if you can eat enough cooked carrots and beets to negatively impact your 'low calorie' day, then you have a bigger stomach than pretty much everyone else! Even I can only put about a pound of carrots in me at any given time, and that's not many calories at all. Plus they have a million good nutrients in them. So I would say to eat them!

Alright I'll go with that then...I'm a beet maniac so we'll see what happens!

I 2nd that, great info. Beets and carrots are both so loaded with nutrition and low in carbs/fat/cals that, yeah, you can basically eat them both all day with the results being positive ones.
